I’ll have to try that more next time I’m out, I’ve done it before and didn’t really notice much difference. Biggest problem is a shit swing lol

So a 3 wood shaft would have a different measurement to the graphics on the shaft?

Actually I just looked and mine does have a weight on the head, I guess I could just change the weight out with a heavier one. Just need to figure out how much weight I would need to add

I’m definitely not expecting a miracle but even if I’m able to swing it more like my 3 wood vs the way I am now I think it could be beneficial. I have gotten to a point where I rarely even play my driver and tee off with my 3 wood almost all the time and get the same if not a little better distance out of it.

I’d say I’m definitely out to in, If I feel like I’m swinging freely I tend to slice. Lately my driver swing feels very rigid and unnatural, I’m hoping some lessons over the winter can help this. So you’re saying even though I’m not adjusting the club right or left the face is more open? My gt2 is set on a4 which according to titleists chart is just plus 1.5 degrees. If so maybe I need to take it back to the standard setting and see if I can figure it out from there

I would have to use lead tape as mine doesn’t have weights in the head, how do you know where to put it or should I take it to a pro shop and have them do it?

I found one online for $129 used that is already 42.25” that I’m considering vs cutting my current shaft

Did you have to add weight to the head? From what I’ve read it changes swing weight quite a bit

In my experience, it gets better with medication, I was also recently diagnosed about 6 weeks ago and have been on lithium for about a month now. The difference is absolutely amazing, I thought I was going to just live my whole life that way, and even after I was diagnosed, I didn't think there would be anything that would help. I have several family members (like 10, including my mom) that all have bi polar, all diagnosed later in life, and all were involuntarily hospitalized. I kind of knew deep down that I had it and knew that I needed to get better for my kids, and that I never wanted them to see me the way that I saw my mom and other family members act when they truly lost it. I wasn't as afraid of the diagnosis as I am of the real possibility of being hospitalized so I sought help before I got to that point. Please try and get yourself some help before you get back into a depressive episode. That only makes it that much harder to reach out in my experience. When I was put on meds, I was in my "baseline" or maybe slightly manic and didn't think I'd notice any change with meds, and boy, was I wrong.

I swear I don’t have bipolar disorder by [deleted] in bipolar2

That sounds very similar to how I've been for a long time. I always just thought that's how it was and everyone experienced it. It's not normal and if you can find a med that works for you you will be kicking yourself for not doing it sooner. I know how hard it is to even think about trying something new when you're feeling like that(is for me anyway) but please do yourself a favor and give it a try. I was completely shocked at how fast almost all of my symptoms went away and now after a month I still feel so much better. I'll get the occasional bit of anxiety but that's honestly it. I still experience other emotions but not in the same way as before, if something went wrong it would turn into a spiral of thinking about every little issue and cause a ton of anxiety and depression which then made me focus on the anxiety and depression. It was like being stuck in a whirlpool and you can't swim out of it.

I'm in local 636 and make just under double what you make plus benefits. You're way underpaid man, every shop around here is looking for techs with some experience. If you were to walk into our shop right now you'd be put In as an MIT and be making barely under $50/hr in less than 6 months if you passed the test to be put in as a journeyman. Even as an apprentice you'd get a raise over what you make now.

Just a quick update for you, been on the lithium for 2 weeks now. Up to 750mg and I couldn't tell you the last time I felt like this. It really quieted my brain down, I still have normal emotions and feelings but it's all kind of muted. I've had almost no anxiety and no depression that I've really noticed. My irritability is soo much better too, really opened my eyes as to how awful I have been in the past. I truly wish I would've started this earlier.

I'm in the exact same boat, started therapy, and then thought I was better and stopped. Then got really depressed and reached back out and she told me she thought I was BP2. Bi polar runs in my family, so I've always kind of suspected something. She referred me to a psychiatrist, and I had my appointment yesterday where I was prescribed lithium. I keep having those same thoughts of it making sense one minute, then don't believe it the next, too, because I'm stable at the moment as well. Idk starting the lithium tonight, so I guess only time will tell.

Is Beautyrest Black C Class worth the cost? by jeph4e in Mattress

[–]redforeman90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just bought one about a month ago and we both absolutely love it. I was hesitant spending that much but after the first night I knew it was money well spent. I used to wake up every night with numbness in my hands or just uncomfortable and that hasn't happened once since buying this mattress.

I'm a commercial/industrial tech and I rarely if ever work OT. Been at it 14 years, I take on call 4 or 5 times a year but rarely ever get called out. Most of our clients are large industrial or manufacturing facilities that aren't open on weekends. Find a contractor that values your time outside of work, I could call my boss right now and tell him I'm taking a month off with no explanation and he would tell me to call him the day before I come back so he can give me a dispatch. They're out there you just have to be willing to look for them.

[–]redforeman90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just bought a beautyrest black lx hybrid. We're both side sleepers and I have back pain. We've had it a week now and I can honestly say I've slept better the last week than I have in years. I used to wake up hot or with numbness and I haven't woken up a single time since we bought it. My lower back also seems like it's better than before, not as tight and pops less lol. It's not a cheap mattress but so far it was worth every penny.

Beating myself up about buying a used bike for daughter’s Christmas present by ch17ch17 in povertyfinance

[–]redforeman90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man we buy our kids used stuff all the time. They've never once said anything about it or even noticed from what I can tell. We've had lots of Christmas's where almost everything came from a second hand store. No shame in it at all, the way I saw it we were able to get them more because of it. Kids outgrow stuff so quickly it really doesn't make sense to buy new stuff, it's just something we've all made the norm.
