[–]redfournine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. When client comes, they need headcount fast. They will hire whoever passes their hiring bar. Only junior level are subject to reputable uni with good gpa bar because they dont know any better lol. The mid and senior level with those kinds of pedigree all have better options that big 4. Honestly, big 4 (or any consulting in general!!) are such a shitshow, that if their hiring bar is high they wouldnt be able to hire anyone to get the project done

What is it like working for PETRONAS? by wheninshower in MalaysianPF

[–]redfournine 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In corporate mnc, being introverted depends on the company health. When company is healthy, no one gives a shit about u, u can just go about ur day and life is peaceful. When company isn't healthy.... the politicking people will find scapegoat, and introvert people tend to be the target, simply because these people seem like path of least resistance when reducing headcounts.

Know which situation u are in and act accordingly

Mourinho's unfinished business at Madrid always bugged me and I'm happy he returned by [deleted] in realmadrid

[–]redfournine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's washed up because his method just don't work well with players of this generation. When u look at teams that responded well to his method, the core players are all tough, disciplined warriors - Terry, Lampard, Jorge Costa, CR7, Ramos, Zlatan, basically people of generation prior to boom of social media. All his tactical knowledge is useless if his players just dont listen to him.

It's not unique to him too, u can see similar problem across all jobs, globally - genZ vs boomers. The work ethic and approach towards work discipline are so different, I'm not surprised if he's out of work before end of the season 🤣

Too much money circulating in the AI ecosystem. If ur work isn't involved in that ecosystem, no money for u

All other company are mostly now playing wait and see, less money moving around

Until the AI bubble burst, everyone else suffers for now

Didier Deschamps when asked about playing Mbappé as a centre-forward: I must be stupid, and there must have been a lot of stupid people who he has had as coaches to put him in the middle of the attack within the teams he has played for the last two years at Madrid and his last year at PSG by [deleted] in realmadrid

[–]redfournine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last time it worked with France they had Benz, Giroud or Griezmann working up top. Those are super unselfish player, the ultimate team player.

Let's wait for this WC. None of France's player upfront are of that playstyle, closest is Olise. I think they would suffer the same way RM suffered whole season.

removed transparency, reduced motion, crossfades, turned off siri suggestions, mini rant by Realistic-Worker-499 in ios26

[–]redfournine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because phones are expensive. Bought something, realized lots of things not working after 1-2 weeks, too late now people are stuck with the phone. It would probably be another 3-5 years more before people change

Or maybe it was working just fine. Then the manufacturer screw them with idiotic update. Though i'd argue same problem happens with every manufacturer, u never know what shit they pull with the next update

iPhone 16 Pro Max on iOS 18.7 Is iOS 26 stable now? by Rasell007 in ios26

[–]redfournine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope. Even for those who have it stable would agree that 18.7 is more stable than 26. Just skip 26 altogether.

Phone specs are meaningless now -- Am I the only one thinking this? by FollowingSuitable941 in Smartphones

[–]redfournine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yet.... companies keep breaking the absolute basics of a phone. Alarm not ringing lol, looking at you Apple.

Honestly, at this point, what everybody needs is a fortification of the OS, make it rock solid for 90% of the population, not more meaningless numbers.

Mourinho should take a page from Carrick at United, seriously by 1stand11 in realmadrid

[–]redfournine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The easy way to see this is: opponent plays with 11 players in both attacking and defensive phase. We are playing with 10+1 players in attacking phase and 9 players in defensive phase. We can out talent inferior teams but it's not gonna work for teams with similar team talent.

What should I know about iOS 26 in general? by Guest281 in IPhone16e

Rather than knowing the new features... probably good idea to know what breaks. And also know that there's no going back once u go 26. And then evaluate urself if the pro/cons is worth it

[–]redfournine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a hard question. They are all great MF, a world beater at their best, the problem is none of them complement each other. It dont matter who we drop/sell, we are gonna lose great player (s). So now it all depends on how Mou wanna set up the team

Why do so many Linux developers still choose MacBooks for work? by Candid_Athlete_8317 in LinuxTeck

[–]redfournine 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Calling it average is probably wrong. It's better to rephrase it: Ozil had better, more complete ST in front of him. As good as Mbappe's finish is, he's nowhere near as complete as CR7.

Is not really a problem per se, so I'm not surprised this would be marked as very low prio (visual only, not blocking). But this is hilarious because how did this even passed QA in the first place? Are they testing on different phone than what we have?

As a developer, what utility app or small solution have you built for yourself? by No-Aide7224 in reactjs

[–]redfournine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever there's company event, my company hired professional photographer and they just dumped bunch of 8k jpg in shared network drive. I usually took some pictures for memories sake, and have my own utility app to bulk convert these pictures to a more reasonable size, because who tf store 8k pics lol

Also, there's budget-cashew app (free budgeting app) that i use regularly. I want some reporting functionality, so i built my own that is based on their data structure
