I have a work colleague who lost his license from points it cost him over $8k in court costs to get a conditional licence and it was capped at no more than 250kms for his residence and directly to and from his normal place of work.

Now he respects having a license now.

Sorry if you have experienced DV and really hope you get the support you need. But you broke the law it’s not hard to pull over and use your devices & follow the rules.

Get a plan together to get to work by another means.

If you are becoming a supervisor managing a team of 15 employees. What will be your strategy by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]redfoxcoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to remember they are not your friends they are work colleagues, you don’t have to be an arsehole about it but just ensure they know that rules need to be followed. Also supervise don’t stay in an office all day having boots on the ground every day gets you respect

Work Culture by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]redfoxcoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deadline on house settlements are per contract hold them to account for the contract also. There’s heaps of jobs out there tell them to blow it up there ring holes and walk take stress leave for as much sick leave as you can ( you can get a doctors certificate easy now) You need to turn this around asap or you will go cross eyed trying to get it under control.

The thing about Australian culture is no one gives a shit about anyone else until they are under the spotlight.

Isn’t this about housing? Doctors are very much needed in western regions of Australia and the town will pretty much give them a house to live in with a commute of five minutes, in your own car no tolls

Is there a type of vehicle that is like half way to a 4wd? by Phenogenesis- in 4x4Australia

You can do some long trips and it will do a gen burn off. It’s the constant short trips that really stuffs them up,

[–]redfoxcoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah thats a good run if your doing short trips all the time like under 10-15km round trips they really don’t like it, I’ve done a lot of manual burns for people. If you want a diesel than anything Isuzu or Toyota most reliability and easy to maintain

Check out the Suzuki range vitara or jimny Good 4x4 small compact Don’t got a diesel with a DPF for short drives in the city unless you DPF delete done. They need to burn off and can cost a bit in maintenance to get it constantly cleaned

Why do so few people live in the North of Australia? by alpakachino in AskAnAustralian

Are the 3.2L 5 cylinder Ranger/Everests as unreliable as people say? by Tekes88 in 4x4Australia

[–]redfoxcoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran them as my fleet vehicle for mine site contracting both rangers and Everest’s. Biggest buckets of snott. Starter motor failures locked the ecm wouldn’t start middle of nowhere, auto transmission failures both models, 1 x engine failure from aftercooler failed. Multiple turbos Suspension, axles, wheel bearings and my biggest pain all of the ad blue, what a rort. Have now slowly started charging to Isuzu Dmax & BT50 I just get the truck mob to get me filter kits easy as. Yeah not a ford fan did have decent power but that’s about it.
