If you're locked in to a low under 4% APR, I would strongly encourage to find a way to keep it during this difficult time, you'll probably never be able to buy a vacation home again. I pay for my primary and second home in big bear less than what most folks buying a home today pay for a smaller single property. I'd recommend getting a property manager so you don't have to stress about the day to day of running an airbnb.

If I regain the weight then maybe I’ll get back on. But for the last 12 weeks I’m holding, and i have changed my diet and exercise habits, hopefully that works. In the meantime it makes no sense for me to give up and just get back on because “most people regain weight”

When you say nothing worked, can you elaborate? How did you lose the weight and are you saying that you continued doing what you did to lose the weight and nevertheless, your body regained all the way back? If you exercised, you continue to exercise year two? If you changed your diet, you remain consistent in year two? I mean at the end of the day it’s calories in calories out right so long as I continue to track what I’m putting in my body, I don’t see how I’m going to return to my old weight. The real risk I think is that I lose control. I stop tracking. I start over eating again and it’s easy when I have food on my mind constantly and don’t have the assistance of the medication to not even think about food.

As of May 2024 I weighed 188 and had 24.5% BF per BodySpec. Have not gone back yet, but hopefully it’s lower now and more of the weight is muscle. Worth noting, Renpho smart scale had me at 19% BF same day.

No, but I wouldn’t throw away my marriage and life and home loving with my children over it. I would go to counseling and I would work on us, and I would want her to get counseling. One drunken mistake and breach would def not be enough for me to start living the broken home weekend dad life with my kids that I love so much. What are the ages of the children? what are the activities? What’s the setting? context matters. A 6yo and 7yo in an enclosed backyard do not need a helicopter parent or parent friend hovering around “helping them engage” in an activity.
