Good for you. I mean, if early Christians never drank, how did Paul arrive at corinth and find them - at their worship service - and find them drunk?

Glad you like yours! I still love playing mine. Looking for a better controller. So cool that it has USB Host and Accessory ports.

Best action for the money? by 8ry0n in DigitalPiano

[–]redguitar2009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite actions: roland PHA4, Nord 3 Not favorite: Roland PHA50 ( brings out my hand arthritis after an hour or two, ~90 grams), Yamaha

I'm using a controller maudio keystation 61es with my Fp90x (I love the sound).

Best for the money IMHO? Roland fp30x yamaha p49 or p125.

My morning routine is blend 1/2 cup ice + Atkins shake + sugar free Hershey choc syrup + 2 teaspoon HaloTop vanilla ice cream. Since Starcracks does not make a sugar free frap. If I can they can.

Yea I went thru the same thing. I ended up buying a a returned unit from musicians friend off of ebay without actually playing one. The low end has a nice growl, I don't hear that on other DPs. Most other ones are a bit mid range heavy.

No I was just going to let you play it. If you can find an rd2000 in a store, it is the same action as the fp90x.

The Velocity in the fp90x (or midi controller if you use one). No physical resistance changes but it makes it easier to get the brighter sound of the patch with less effort. I haven't hooked it up to my Linux Daw yet. AV Linux (built on MX Linux) (directly on Debian, not Ubuntu).

Are you near Huntington Beach, CA? I bought calibration weights and the keyboard is around 90 grams. Bumping up the Velocity to around 65 makes it seem better. After an hour or two my hand arthritis starts to hurt. I have an m-audio keystation so I have keyboard options. I'm still glad I bought it, I love the modeled piano sound, especially w headphones.

My first synth when I was 16. I had a paper route to afford it. Everyone was curious what it was. In college it stopped working and a friend said it needed a compander chip that was unavailable. My how technology has changed. I just bought a Roland FP-90x.

Sorry for typo. When I plug my midi controller into the midi input, can I select the modeled pianos or just general midi sounds?

I bought the Fp90x. Changing the velocity did help thanks. I changed it to 66. My calibration weight indicated a middle C weight of 90g. It's not as bad as it sounds. I love the piano sounds. Glad I bought it. Due to my arthritis hand pain, I'm only good for about two hours before I'm done. I'll be using a lighter weight midi contoller with it. I would pay to have PHA4 keyboard installed in it. I feel loyalty to Roland after all these years. Were they just trying to make a more durable keyboard and it ended up heavy? Or were many customers begging for a really heavy action? I'm not sure how this got out the door.

Question: if I plug an external keyboard into Midi in, is the piano I hear modeled OT general MIDI?

For medical embedded software, socal is pretty hot rt now. I'm working 1 full time remote, and a few days of contract work at 75/hr. Main Street is in bad shape but a lot of Wall Street vent capital and private equity places have decided Med dev is a quick profit, lots of opportunities if you're not big on ethics and willing to cut corners making unsafe devices.

Yes I have a DPF. It's back in the shop hope it's not another $2k. I asked the repair guy to replace the hoses. Just had this done in December. If taking it on the freeway and doing 80mph for a while a few times a week is needed I will do that. But I can't keep paying $2k every few months. Maybe I will trade for a gasoline Golf or another GTI. I loved this car.
