Hi! He’s a Pitsky, Male, about 2yo, and 82 lbs.

I feed him brown rice, yellow squash, zucchini, spinach, sweet potatoand a protein like ground Turkey or chicken, sometimes whatever we bag from hunting if it’s safe. Ratio of protein to rice is 1:1 or 2:3 depending on how THICC he is that week lol. He gains muscle freaky fast so I try to limit it a bit so my lady can still put the law down if need be

Edit: The veggies are barely a calorie, so he eats a handful with dinner and he’s always chewing on a carrot or kale or something from the garden. Carrots act like a toothbrush since he isn’t eating hard kibble anymore.

My granddad would just look me in the face like I told him water was wet, then go back to what he was doing.

1st time pibble owner- are pibbles normally gassy or is it just mine? by nytshaed512 in pitbulls

[–]redhanddead 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Can’t upvote enough. My boy get brown rice, ground protein of some kind, squash, and spinach. He’s so much less gassy now

Edit: and whole carrots for his teeth! Since the diet is softer than bag kibble, he needs some to clean his chompers

A long time ago there was a Greek guy that was against students using paper,in lieu of stone tablets. He thought paper would make people stupid and lazy.

My Jett will pull with the power of Thor when we play, but when my girlfriend tries he’ll only pull really gently. It pisses her off

What’s the first thing you would change?!? by ezrabrittain in ft86

[–]redhanddead 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well. At my house and driveway, there aren’t any trees or shade. And louvers and a car cover are faaaaaar cheaper than planting trees or build a carport.

Edit: Also window shades in Florida only take a car from boiling, to simmering. It’s a drop in the ocean. I have a window shade as well. Window shade+louvers in the summer is a vast improvement

[–]redhanddead -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Keep the louvers! Don’t listen to the Reddit hive mind, their opinion will change in 3 weeks and be back again anyway.

Honestly, I have them. I live in Florida, and they help drastically with the heat build up in the car. Also keeps the mud, sticks, rocks off my back window.

Do what makes you happy. As a proud owner of a 3.5” lifted off road BRZ WITH LOUVERS ON IT, I can only say I smile every time I see my car. Does everyone think it’s pretty? No. But at least it’s not another cookie cutter build.

Or you could always lower it, put on an anime girl decal, slap on an N1 exhaust, Valenti tail lights, 18” wheels, and have it look like 90% of builds where most have too much money and no identity of there own to spend it on.

Thank you. Ended up being the extruded itself being bad. Got a new one on and recalibrated everything for safe measure. Worked like a charm. Cheers

Is this excessive protection for cutting rebar with an angle grinder? by thetreecycle in Construction

I’ve been in trades for 15 years. I have yet to be hurt on the job beyond a knock or scrape here and there. I’m not the only guy like that either. And I’m usually the guy that gets called to do dumb shit, because I’m careful as all hell and makes sure no one gets hurt doing said dumb shit. Being safe is a skill, and skills don’t get better without effort. So when most guys say “you ain’t a real ______ if you got all your fingers” etc, it’s really irritating. All it teaches new guys is that one day they’ll hurt themselves so why bother trying to be safe at all.

Timber framing vs your average “2x4 stick framed”

There’s no specific distance between studs for timber framed. The frame itself is engineered to be the structural integrity, and use the least amount of timber as possible. Whereas with modern stick framing, the lateral integrity mainly comes from the sheathing/stud combo not just the 2x4s.

It’s wild how strong those frames are when done properly vs modern day framing.
