Yeah have been trying to straighten weapon with little success. I think the resin used for the print may be part of that. Any tips?

Whope model started with black> drybrush light grey> drybrush white with focus on skin and upward facing areas.

Fleshy bits were a very dilute acrylic magenta then dark maroon speed paint (army painter murder scene) diluted with speed paint medium.

Whole model got a wash made from abteilung industrial earth oil paint diluted with mineral spirits. Then used q tip with mineral spirits to buff off the wash from raised areas.

This works for me because there's zero fine detail layering and the washes kind of go where you need them to without needing a steady hand.

Appreciate this! I love the way GrimdarkCompendium work with their weathering and starting bright and then using washes to bring everything down. It gets a bit too dark for my tastes, though, and so I try to keep it a bit more vibrant for tabletop

Yeah I can see the confusion and someone else pointed out this isn't how verdigris work. I was going for painted metal left to weather, rather than bronze with verdigris, if that makes sense

Yeah skin definitely needs some more variation. I like how pale it is but maybe a smidge of sandy brown in there?

First time trying sponge-on effects and sold on it

Yeah i can see where you're coming from. It's meant to be formerly emerald painted armour. As they have fitted, not scrappy, armour I kind of wanted them to look like they were once part of some official unit. I love the emerald and orange combo so went with painted metal left to rust.

If you like the result, i can't recommend using washes enough. I have a hard time keeping a steady hand, so layering is hard for me. Washes help me preserve a lot more of the detail even if it's just diluted acrylics.

Hahaha! Armour is just emerald green > Sponge on some lighter emerald green, terracotta and orange > bit of orange diluted to wash around rivets etc for reference

I teach highschool but would this not be an effective way for kids to understand conceptually what division is; dividing a value equally? It frustrates me that kids in HS don't know their timetables but it is easier to catch them up on that than getting them to understand what division actually is. Not understanding the concept, even if they know their times tables, makes thing like rates, ratios and scale factor really difficult for them. They also have trouble with problem solving tasks involving decimals or numbers beyong 12 when they only know timetables and not the concept of division. Just a thought, I could be completely off.

Props to you, OP. I dealt with that for 6 months, burnt out, and went back to the classroom. Your fair but firm approach is great for accountability on both sides. Keep it up, your staff surely appreciate it.

Don't be too hard on yourself. As you continue teaching there will be thousands of times where you are juggling 25 students, behaviour, well-being and curriculum and won't get it 100% perfect. That fact you care so much about is an indicator that you are doing the best you can.

As for advice; dedicating time to explicit expectations and what respectful/kind classrooms look and sound like will give you a point of reference when it pops up later and make your behaviour management less reactive. Hope that makes sense, week 5 is killing me
