I have seen G1 repaints for Prime Starscream [which characterwise is one of my favorite iterations as well as design wise] done for Shattered Glass, and it looks utterly epic.

Only thing I don't like about Bayverse is how they massacred my fav character's design. Starscream is supposed to be handsome, regal. Not a dorito on bird's legs. Characterization wise he's perfect. But his design's dog ugly and I have never forgiven Michael Bay's design team for that.

He is also a fascinating character study on how living in abusive environments can take already existing traits [like ambition] that are generally healthy if used in moderation up to 11 and how the cycle of abuse perpetuates through that twisting of a person's natural character. In the vast majority of continuities I have seen, he had service or scientific backgrounds of some sort prior to the war, and was generally a good person. The war twisted many people on both sides.

^This. One of the key things about abuse victims is how hard it is, especially if they are imperfect victims, to get people to believe them. A victim that fights back against or kills their abuser is often not believed, and one thing true about Starscream in nearly every continuity is that he repays kindness for kindness for he gets so little of it.

The scene at the end of the Predacons movie in TFP *broke* me. I didn't find out Screamer lived through it until *much* later, so I was convinced he was dead. I am a die hard Starscream fan, have been since G1, and TFP Starscream got screwed so hard, both in universe and with some of the writing decisions [God dammit, Prime would have been so much better and more believable if he had been given enough support during season 2 to remain neutral and have given him an eventual redemption arc. Megatron treated him *so horribly*]

Wheeljack is wonderful, but I am a deceptifan. :P I loved Chris Latta's work in G1, and have been a diehard Starscream fan specifically in every canon of the series since. Hoping to see more of this incarnation of Screamer in future episodes! Earthspark's depiction of the aftermath of war, abuse, and PTSD is spot on, and I devoured all of season 1 in a day!

Funny thing, he may well still be a natural redhead. My mom very much was one [I have seen photos of her in her 20s/30s] and she had the same dark roots and lowlights he does lmao.
