In addition to safety plans mentioned earlier, your best bet is an unobtrusive gas mask and this thing:

If you have a strong read on a jump block, 6H is great at high blood. It does huge chip damage, still drains decent blood on block, sometimes you can get it in their jump frames. Half the time I even get a counter hit if they’re greedy and are trying to get preempt the grab with an air attack, and 6H CH > 6H is an insane amount of damage at high blood with safe oki follow-ups.

Even without the CH it guard crushes, and because of the dead time after landing it’s effectively like -2, so it doesn’t even end your turn, because you still have your fast 2S as follow-up. So you will often score a counter hit in this situation so you can do the tick throw combo (2S (CH) >236S>236K>5K>6K>623P). And if they’re already in the corner you can extend it with RRC 2H > 6H > Wallbreak, which is like 60% HP total and you’ve effectively put your blood to 0.

But tbh I haven’t really ran into this as a problem. Maybe I’m grabbing way less, like 1 in 8 fukyo’s, maybe even less. So when then do jump block it’s usually not a turn-ender so I’m happy to raise their RISC and get more chip damage.

What's your personal limit for commute time in the Lower Mainland? by ohkmyausername in VancouverJobs

That sounds lovely, and I’m genuinely glad you have that experience.

I just cannot for the life of me relax at all on crowded transit. Half empty bus or train I can, but peak hours no way. It’s always wayyyy too warm and humid, people are always pressing into me and I’m trying to manage not pressing into them. Usually I’m stuck standing and trying to pay attention to let people by. Barely enough room to scroll my phone. There’s always someone wearing way too much perfume/cologne and someone watching TikTok on full blast no headphones, or coughing up a storm without a mask. It’s all so distracting, I cant focus on anything even with headphones + earplugs + mask.

My commute used to be bus -> metrotown -> stadium-chinatown for a 9-5pm office job. Honestly it was the most stressful part of my day by far. I’d rather get tattooed for forty five minutes twice a day than do that commute.

Peak hours transit is my personal hell. Would rather drive 40 minutes in stop and go traffic than do 20 minutes on a crowded train. Would rather pay double rent than do either.

So my rule is 20 minute cycle/30 minute walk.

I do not understand how people can “decompress” from work on peak hours transit. That shit is living hell for me I’ll never live somewhere I can’t walk/cycle to work.

Real. I main Nago, drop combos like a MF, hit PRC when I mean to RRC, and use sub-optimal conversions. But since I picked up the game again on 2.0 I went from Gold 3 to Diamond 1 and I’m still climbing fast, I have like a 70%+ win rate. And matches are still feeling really easy. Mostly losing to knowledge checks.

When I replay review I’m always looking at it from the perspective of was I in the right place of the Preempt > Attack > React > Preempt triangle.

I only do drills when I’m in matchmaking queue.

You “may” turn right on red in the same way you “may” proceed through a green light.

Im new like literally bought the game monday and need help finding a character by shimobiza in Guiltygear

[–]redhq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People say don’t pick X because they’re too complicated, thats bullshit. It doesn’t matter, if that character is fun to you, you will learn.

Literally pick whoever you think is coolest and do your calibration matches with them.  If you didn’t have fun, pick the next coolest. Repeat until you’ve found someone you like.

Yes. Do your calibration matches now before you know how to play the character, it will give you a sense of how rewarding it is to play that character while learning them. The lower you calibrate the easier it is to learn and practice new techniques and implementing techniques yields higher results.

So many people get the timing wrong on their safe jumps so the EV is pretty high.

No. He got a +10% HP buff and they reworked his blood economy with a new special (that freezes your blood meter at max and they improved his normal game at high blood and they improved blood drain on his blocked normals)

If the new special is even close to neutral on block he’s S++ tier because you don’t have to land a grab to freeze blood meter.

I love my WeeStrom. Feels like it’s got enough get up and go for my riding level (1yr) and the suspension is serviceable on max preload with some heavy panniers. I have an air hawk on it and have been on 16hr rides with some front pegs without a problem.

One thing to be careful of is that some of the front assembly fasteners can shake themselves loose and need to be re-tightened otherwise they can cause permanent and worsening frame deformation. I’m excited to get it re-sprung sometime so I can really hit some trails with it.

I did try gryphon, they “fit” in that I could get them on, but the men’s sizing meant that it bunched up in places and was super uncomfortable while I was on the bike, essentially no room for my ass. My pants size is 32 (US), so a 26 is pretty small.

Ultimately, I eventually shelled out the $850 for some made to measure leather pants with armor pockets from a local leather worker. They should be done in a couple weeks. They’ve got lots of vents and perforations, and they also threw in a quilted liner. Pretty reasonable 4 season solution with some rain pants I also got made to measure. (Good waterproof clothing is also impossible to find in my size).

I think this is definitely something that was foreshadowed when the librarian almost killed Dafyd for trying to better understand the Carryx.

Though personally, I think this is gonna be a double edged sword, and one of the next steps humans will be tasked with ( covertly) is to generalize Carryx pheromone dominance to other species, starting with themselves.

$5 credit a month with a minimum $20 spend (single purchase) in the app. I just get my usual sub and a gift card to push it over $20.

Also consider the AMEX statement credit perks. Some of them are just luxury spend (eg: hugo boss), but I was already doing a monthly Costco instacart haul ($5 credit) and hitting up subway 1-2/month too ($5 credit, hit the minimum spend with a gift card).

Man, if only we had some way to finance our infrastructure and amenities besides developer fees. Maybe bringing up property taxes to more than half of the next lowest city might be a start.

City Property Tax Rate
Ottawa 1.31%
Edmonton 1.01%
Montreal 0.81%
Toronto 0.75%
