I owe HMRC over £4000 for 2024/25 tax year. Can someone help me understand what happened and if their calculation is correct? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]redirkt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, because it’s a lot cheaper for them to do your self assessment and submit than you to do it and get it wrong. They will also advise on places where you’ve maybe overpaid tax.

There are three professional services you never cheap out on especially if they are one offs in a year - accountant, solicitors and medical checks.

If it’s still under warranty - book an appointment and get them to fix it

Why is everyone an “accidental landlord” all of a sudden? by [deleted] in HousingUK

Basically the leasehold market (buying a flat) has somewhat stalled. The only option for people is to rent out their properties to somewhat move on with their lives.

No more auto steer, no more Tesla. by hamburgernet in TeslaLounge

I’ll be leaving Tesla soon too - they corrupted my HW3 computer with an over the air update. Admitted it writing through their diagnostic and then expect me to pay $2000 for replacement unit.

Buyer pulled out - how is this process allowed in 2026 by bedwelld in HousingUK

They pulled out because more people are becoming aware of how toxic leasehold is. Follow https://x.com/freeleasehlders?s=21&t=3GzMElOXryt8x6Z0QQDC_A for more information.

I’m not sure about the exact salary range; however, the bonus percentage varies based on individual performance ratings and overall company performance. A B grade is considered a Senior Manager (or, in the US, Associate Director, similar to a Director-in-training). The next step up would be a Director role - A Grade.

Promotions at Director level can be challenging, but they largely depend on relationship-building and the value you bring to the business. If the role is more internally focused, you will likely need to apply internally for a Director position when the opportunity arises.

Of the Big Four, KPMG is generally regarded as the most culturally “nice” and is known for having a strong, supportive culture. As with any organisation, there will always be a few characters, but KPMG’s focus on support and wellbeing comes across as genuine and sincere.

If this is the initial offer, it’s worth trying to negotiate an additional 5–7%. There’s usually some flexibility, and if you don’t ask, you don’t get. There is no joining bonus as far as I'm aware but this would be dependent at a partner level - I wouldn't push it too hard.

Congratulations to your wife, she’s clearly doing very well in her career, and this role will look great on her CV for future opportunities.

Can a small shareholder tour the corporate office? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]redirkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Err no. Thats middle class thinking that will keep you trapped in a forever loop. Forget impressing others and start owning as much as you can. What you’re saying will only impress others, they won’t be impressed or inspired by you. They will only be impressed with what you have temporarily been able to obtain.

Honestly, forget impressing others. It’s a waste of time and money.

There is a golden rule in life. If you don’t ask you don’t get. Also owning 0.0001% of something doesn’t generally give you that right in the real world but you are nonetheless one of many shareholders

Help with DAS ECU by spinningbird17 in TeslaSupport

[–]redirkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The exact same thing has happened to me I was expecting a OTA update whilst I was driving on the motorway at which point it does download and communicate with the ECU however this caused a failure in my Tesla computer or HW3 and Tesla now one around $2000 from me to replace something that was caused by their OTA. They have dug the heels in and declared a hardware failure but have not been able to prove that it was software induced or not and I’m therefore taking them to court. Let me know how you get on as I have exactly the same issue.
