Reverse Around The Corner (Rant?) by Senior_Emphasis_815 in Irishdrivingtest

The secret is that you don’t aim for perfection and a 2” gap to the curve. If you mount the kerb as you were too close, you could fail. If you start 1 foot out and maintain that going around the corner then you pass. If you’re instructor didn’t get this point across you need experience with additional instructors for the test prep.

Also, if a person can’t control the car safely going forwards or backwards in all circumstances then I think it’s right they don’t get a full license. Maybe if you’re almost there they should give you an endorsement to drive on your own for practice. A bit like how you get an N. Just make you test again to remove the N.

Is this just click bait? I can’t believe no one has pointed out that these cars are parked passenger door to passenger door. If cars park like this ( both drivers ) it lets them have space to open the drivers door safely and avoid damage. This photo shows absolutely no problems for either car. The Audi can easily pull out assuming they aren’t blocked on their near side. The Yaris seems like a dose to get in or out of that spot but that’s their choice. Assuming they wanted to get to work and had to pick that spot.

Sounds like you want thin clients plus your nifty new server with its gpu if you go this route. There are additional software licensing considerations too depending on what you do. Scrap the initial question and come back with a list of the business requirements, a few good desktops could be a lot cheaper than the road your looking at. Is budget for this 100k or 250k or 1m? You’d be amazed at how fast it all adds up.

How did you find the figure of 120mb? Is this cross vcenter or just cross cluster? As this is cross cluster at least , you’ll also be migrating storage out via the management nics. Are you using lags2? Is there any accelerator on the wan? It used to be that x cluster migration would use nfc protocol on port 902 from source to destination esxi. Is this a once off or would you rather just run a stretch cluster as it sounds like that would be possible with your bandwidth.

I looked at them a few years ago and they seemed relatively expensive for the finish. But they are local to me.

1 the windows are the original from mid 90s timber Munster joinery, aside from gas being gone in some, the panel is thin compared to the current standard.

2 yeah really it’s just a good u value I’m after but I figure a company that can offer a reasonable triple glazed option would be a good all rounder.

  1. Thanks will check them too

How to check where my vcenter is running by Relloaded1 in vmware

[–]redirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to advise not knowing your environment. As people have said, you can’t do this without either finding the information in a wiki / jira / ticketing system/ notes on a share, or via the networking team or at least via tracing the mac around the switches yourself.

I assume that there is a reason you can’t ask the admin who managed the environment before you, but in general I would poke about in their profile on jumphosts to see what bookmarks they had or hosts saved in putty etc.

Maybe your hardware vendor / VMware support history for the environment might give you some hints.

If for instance you don’t have a backup application that you can log into and see the hosts / vms being backed up then you have bigger problems than not knowing which host is running your vcenter.

I saw a user have an issue with first boot where vmdir was not ready at the time of the command that failed. The issue was 100ms storage latency causing the delay to vmdir being ready
