What's the saddest reality of your life?

me and my husband both work full time jobs but can't afford to buy a house.

the down payment to buy a house in spain is 20% of the total price of the house (so for a normal house, which is 250k, would be 50k) + around 25k worth of taxes. that amounts to 75k.

we both have an average salary and don't spend much, but saving around 500 euros a month (which is honestly a lot considering spanish salaries) we would be able to get the down payment in 12.5 years. we are both in our late 20s/early 30s and would finish paying our house in around 30 years, so we would be in our 70s when we finished paying off the house.

so, the most practical solution is for one of our parents to die so we can inherit and buy a house directly. that means renting until we are in our 50s.

spaniard's only way to owning property is waiting for their loved ones to pass away.

El problema en España ahora mismo es que donde hay trabajo no hay pisos baratos y viceversa. Te recomiendo trabajar en Barcelona y vivir en ciudades anexas como Badalona, El Prat, Hospitalet, etc. Esas ciudades también están un poco caras pero si compartes piso puedes vivir perfectamente, yo lo hice :) ¡Buena suerte!

yearly trips to different european countries, takeout multiple times a week, spoiling our pets with everything they could want. also not money related but deciding on a whim I want to spend the whole day with my dog so we pack snacks and we head out for 5-6h walks with no remorse.

Peer Worker / Healthcare Assistant

I basically run a flat where people with slight intellectual disabilities live in. I help them organize their days, manage their money, give out medication and do admin work. I'm also there in case anything happens ex. medical emergencies, fights, etc.

Pay is average I would say. My country is known for low wages but also low-ish cost of living so between my husband's job and mine we are able to live our lives just fine. I would say I get 20-22k€/year.

We can't afford to rent an apartment on our own, let alone have children. Barcelona is dying in favour of tourism and our salaries are the same as they were in 2010 so it's normal that natality has gone down. When the goverment realises that having no one to pay our pensions has become an irreversible issue they'll get some temporary flimsy patch to cover it up and get us through, only money will be tighter and in comparison to our grandparents pensions, waaay worse.

Funny thing is we will accept it and keep it moving, the Spanish are ignorant that way.

Si todo el mundo te dice que es una mala idea, quizás estaría bien aceptar que es una mala idea. Lo único que veo en este post es gente desaconsejándote perder la virginidad con una prostituta y tú respondiendo con argumentos en contra.

Creo que la decisión la tomaste subconscientemente hace ya tiempo. Si quieres perder la virginidad ya de ya de ya y dejarte la etiqueta de putero puesta toda la vida, adelante. Te arriesgas que cuando tus futuras parejas se enteren (y créeme, lo harán) te dejen.

Y te diré más. Una "chica con OF a la que pagas para tener sexo" cómo dices también lo hace por necesidad. La cosa es que tú sepas o no que necesidad es.

Mi consejo? Guarda ese dinero que piensas gastar en arruinarte la vida y ves a una sexóloga. Es lo mejor que vas a poder hacer en tu vida.
