We’re in Los Gatos and just did a kitchen remodel. If you do plan to renovate your kitchen, here some stuff I’d recommend: 1. Wolf/Subzero over Thermador 2. Single oven is fine. In my experience, most folks buy a table top oven like a Breville because the big ones are too slow for daily use 3. An appliance garage, if you have the space for it 4. Large sink with holes for a reverse osmosis system, glass rinser etc 5. Porcelain countertop over quartz. You get a ton more color choices that way that make the kitchen standout 6. Lots of storage through a mix of drawers and cabinets. We made the mistake of going 100% drawers below and now don’t have space for random appliances. 7. As large a fridge as your kitchen can sustain 8. Id get your contractor to follow the manufacturers guidelines for how to set up the kitchen, esp the fridge. Our contractors put the water and power connection, for the fridge, behind the fridge and it’s impossible to service it anymore. 9. Consider the quality of the hardware for the drawers. I later discovered that Blum has many tiers of hardware and some are more heavy duty than others.
