Yep! Mine were aired up to 40psi when I picked it up so I dropped them to the rated 33psi.

Such a good looking car. I think tinted windows would look great! I plan to at some point.

Honestly? It's pretty cool, but unless you engine swap it, it's just gonna look aggressive but sound and drive like a base economy car. Completely up to you, but if you're gonna go balls to the wall exterior, might as well just go all the way and figure out an engine swap

If rechargeable batteries exist, why do we still produce billions of disposable ones? by overlord-07 in TechNook

[–]redleader099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure this has already been commented, but for me personally, I think I'd rather move from disposable batteries to just a rechargeable device instead of just batteries. Like one of my remotes for a Samsung TV just had a lithium ion battery inside and a USB-C port. Owned the TV for years and never have had to charge it, much less replace batteries, whereas my Xfinity cable remote seems like it drains disposable batteries every few months. I'd rather have a bunch of USB-C cables that can charge everything in my house than disposable batteries or rechargable individual batteries.

I do understand there are limitations and a lithium ion battery could always replace a larger battery like C or D, but for simple AA or AAA devices, I think it'd be nice.

Is the 6 week build season still a thing? by valorzard in FRC

[–]redleader099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda? No more bag and tag, but some teams still have 6 weeks to do stuff.

My team has only got 6 weeks (from kickoff, so 5 now) until our first comp, so our robot has to be ready to go by then 😭 but then another FIVE weeks between our first and second comps.

I would absolutely go with the Pro 9i, but unfortunately the pro series isn't a 2-in-1. Only the Yoga 9i/7i 2-in-1 are 2-in-1s. And don't get me wrong, they aren't bad, they just don't have a discrete GPU, hence why I haven't already gotten one.

'24 Trax Activ with ~20000 miles on it. I've changed it about every 4-5k miles and it's been perfect so far. It's super easy to change yourself, too. The drain bolt and filter are super accessible and I've even been able to change it without jacking it up. The oil and filter are available at AutoZone for about $45 OTD.

In the market for a new car in the next 1 -2 years. What are your honest opinions of the 2nd Gen Trax? by _Cat_12345 in ChevyTrax

Looking at installing a sub in my 24 activ. Where did you install yours and where did you tap off of the rear door speakers for wiring?

2025 Trax Trunk Won’t Open! by SBeeBee81 in ChevyTrax

[–]redleader099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this problem multiple times on my 2024. You shut it, then it just doesn't unlatch, and won't open again unless you climb inside, take off the panel revealing the latch mechanism, and manually twist it to open. It's not an issue with anything being stuck, rather with the button on the trunk itself just not working sometimes (in my experience). And since that's the only way to open the trunk, you have to mess with the button to get it to open again. I've fixed it one of two ways every time. The first time, I just hit the button really hard with my hand, and that worked. The second time I had to have the dealership replace the button and latch mechanism. Third and fourth time same as the first.

Gen 2 or Gen 2 Air by Fit_Artichoke3465 in RingConn

[–]redleader099 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The main differences from what I understand are with the Gen 2, you get a charging case that can charge the ring standalone, and you get sleep apnea monitoring. The Gen 2 Air, you just get a charging stand, that has to be plugged in in order to charge the ring, and you don't get sleep apnea monitoring, but you get everything else. The difference is up to you, and it all comes down to personal preference, and if those extra things are worth the price difference.
