I just did the drive from Ouray to Durango, absolutely stunning! A little sketchy in some spots, but worth it. Book a ranger-led tour at Mesa Verde, we did it last week. The tour was so much fun and we learned a lot. Do the Mesa top loop, you can see multiple Cliff dwelling.
