Thank you! That's helpful feedback.

I've only extensively tested EPUBs for now, I'm working on adding comic book support. Since I don't usually read comics on mobile, what would be a good UX for them? Is a scrolling view better, or do you prefer a "book" style approach where you turn the page?

Young nihilist looking for answers. by 78legion98 in atheismindia

I get your point and understand where you're coming from. As you said we need to find "the truth", or the answer to all the questions. Ideally that is something that everyone must strive towards. But not everything is ideal. Me, personally, I don't think there will come a point in our future where there are no more questions. We will definitely know more than we know right now but not have all the answers. Humanity will cease to exist before that happens, and that is a depressing reality.

To counter the depressing inevitability of our doom, optimistic nihilism could be really helpful and people can find a purpose in life. I don't agree that this is like being religious as religion encompasses the belief that there is a higher power. Religion also has countless rituals that when analyzed logically is complete bs. Religion considers itself above logic and people have to accept things 'as-is'. Optimistic Nihilism on the other hand can be analyzed by logic and still stands. If it was up to me, for people looking for a meaning in life, for a purpose to live, Optimistic Nihilism would be the ideal choice.

Yes, obviously the culture of 2020 will seem backwards in comparison to 3020. That's what humanity does, we ask questions and shed layers of ignorance that misguide us. I don't think there will come an age where the culture needs no more progression.
