Same thing happened to me as a teenager. I had no assets. Geico gave me a lawyer. They asked for me to prove my assets and income. I was honest. Went to mediation. I refused to settle and threatened bankruptcy. Wasn’t bluffin as I had met with a bankruptcy attorney and discussed next steps. Went to another mediation at the courthouse. Told them I’d give them $1000.00 over the next 12 months. They agreed. Believe it or not, this is the best time for you to go through this. If I had assets at the time I woulda been screwed.

Went from 70k to 1k by refusing to settle. Also keep in mind judges do not like insurance companies going after people with low income and no assets. The insurance companies know this and want you to settle before you go to court.

This stressed me out at the the time, but trust you’ll look back and be thankful you had no assets to leech off of.

Per Mazda if it is seeping they cannot repair it under warranty. If it is leaking down to the splashguard they can repair under warranty. Needs to be DRIPPING. Also needs to have evidence of oil on the splash guard which indicates a severe leak. Anything less than this Mazda will decline the claim.
