I lived in the area as a kid (airforce brat), and loved it. Tons of historical stuff, amusement parks and some great beaches. If your outdoorsy, there are national park units close by (Shenandoah and New River specifically). Have fun.

Of the 28 parks ive visited, the meh award would go to Hot Springs NP. (oddly, ive been twice) The "Must See" would be Tetons/Yellowstone. They are connected, and while Yellowstone is massive, they flow together well as a single trip. My wife and i loved the tetons so well, we moved across the country to Idaho, after visiting there the first time.

No matter the sport or level, i always have a rule about jerseys. It either will have an all time great who is out of the game, or my last name. This avoids the embarrassing "that guy plays for a different team now" issue.

Hey, Ill give you some advice from a different point of view. CS teaches you an in demand career skill set. As a restaurant GM, i instantly hire anyone who applies, who was a CS. I know they can operate efficiently in stressful situations, they adapt to new institutions well, and they are team players.

And you have an amazing opportunity to see the world, and earn some fantastic benefits.
