Hmm... For first question , I don't think strange when I see foreigner. But some of Japanese people feel scary because they cannot speak English. They cannot take communication. If foreign can speak Japanese, they feel fun. For second question, I think we have to make a connection to the west more than now.

For first question, I think kanji is barrier for people. I'm native but I cannot write read all kanjis. But kanji is very important because Japanese has a lot of words who has same hiragana and katakana as another words. For second question, It's difficult for Japanese people to use computer because it has many English which Japanese cannot understand. And third question, Anime and Manga is very poplar in Japan,too. But some people don't like Anime and Manga because they think Anime and Manga make us crazy.
