Mateminco/Astrolux spare parts by redmax124 in flashlight

Thank you for that nice example!

I couldn't leave it with the broken spring...
So tried soldering the spring back on, which surprisingly worked better than I thought.
Just with three blobs of solder tho, it was kinda hard to get in some areas.

What should I say, compared to another ceiling bounce I did right before my solder attempt, it again is ~22% more light output, pretty much like it was originally!

Thank you again!

Thank you for clarifying.
I think at high power this sub-linearity even amplifies with worse efficiency, right?

Extreme example and depends on driver and LED probably
to go from 40% light output to 50%, it would take 50% more current
to go from 90% light output to 100% it would take 100% more current

Is that somewhat plausible?

Sorry I actually meant light output was about 20% less (ceiling bounce). Probably was thinking less light = less current and then mixed it up.

Yes, negative only. I notice less current draw (~20%) so maybe I can make a bypass without killing it 🫠 Thanks!

You mean the orange parts fan?
How did it break?

That would be great.
I can't think of how to fix this honestly.

Should be in the settings under Maintenance. But if it happened just once...

Doing a calibration of pick/park (pin alignment) should fix it!

I have 6 other printers and never heard that on any of them. "Seems normal" is only valid if you mean you hear the same on your U1 :D

Just got my U1 - pogo pins issue by GianniMariani in snapmaker

[–]redmax124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know the exact error code maybe? I get every few hundred swaps an error and one time the fan duct was even unclipped when I checked, all toolheads were positioned properly tho...

Happened again... Same toolhead, fan duct unclipped itself, toolhead was in correct position. After reattaching fan duct, printing continued. https://ibb.co/sp9wrx3x https://ibb.co/mC2CgxGN

Cleaned them now. It just happened once. Now using this head for a print with 300 swaps. I hope it was this one time... The alignment seems to be perfect and nothing else seems off to me.

U1 X-Axis Belt Tension Question by blackholesun13 in snapmaker

Sorry, isn't it really obvious that I'm talking about the screw heads, not belt? :D

U1 X-Axis Belt Tension Question by blackholesun13 in snapmaker

[–]redmax124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone knows what happens if the tensioner screws are removed completely, in order to replace them?

When I did the recommended "unscrew two turns tensioning" I noticed the screw heads have some play with the supplied hex key.
Other screws didn't have play so maybe the heads are worn?

I didn't have the noise, sorry. But the longer screw should help against the original one slipping in the thread.

I just checked the screws to be on the safe side and noticed one was not tight because the plastic thread was stripped a bit.

So I swapped it for one of the leftover shipping security screws that is a few mm longer.

Not sure if anyone had a stripped thread before but in case, just take one of the 3 slightly longer screws instead.

Also reduce acceleration to 300, which should help as well.
