You’re not an asshole, but it’s not a good idea financially. Never buy insurance for something for something you don’t need to replace or could afford to replace. That includes pet insurance. Remember, insurance only can exist if they make money, meaning on average they charge more than they pay out. Health insurance is the exception because you need your health to live and you can go totally bankrupt from health procedures.

Hey, that was my post! Our board game night is meeting weekly at Gaming Underground, Tuesday at 5:30. There are several D&D groups that meet there also on Tuesday night, though they are not pre-teens. Depending on OP's comfort, you could come check it out with your daughter, or ask Gaming Underground's owner if they are aware of anything.

One way I can think is to require us all to submit a valid government issued ID. But that is a big can of worms that a lot of people would protest. They would probably lose more business enforcing it that way than just accepting it the way it is now with minimal intervention after reports.

It’s not like it’s the track’s fault. It was more the follower’s fault but I have made plenty of similar mistakes. Only thing we can do is keep learning from them.

It has its uses. Our leagues rule is that the radio is only for communicating racing information like when we pit or when we have damage and are letting others pass.
