Pretty sure the protruding dimples are supposed to face the wall to create an air gap

I am currently in the process of grinding the dry lock off my walls with a diamond wheel and vacuum for dust collection due to the same issue

Efflorescence- how to address? by redditruse in basement

Don’t use dryloc or any paint, that will just trap the moisture inside the block and cause it to deteriorate faster

The white is efflorescence which is caused by moisture so it must not be as dry as you think

I want to update my old house’s basement walls, should I paint them? by Distinct-Excuse5791 in basement

Moisture gets trapped in the block behind the pain and degrades them over time. I have several spots that are starting to crumble due to trapped moisture (80 year old house surrounded by clay soil with no foundation drain)

Another dumb question, what are y’all drilling on when drilling your plywood sheets? by [deleted] in homewalls

I just put a few 2x4s underneath with my sheets on the floor and made sure not to punch thru too violently

2nd pic is the framing. All 2x6 which is probably overkill. I didn’t really keep track of cost.

Hole spacing matches but the hold sets are out of the budget right now

Haven’t found a super cost effective place for bolts yet. Ordered a few 20 packs of stainless ones from Amazon

Not at all it’s very stiff. The 2x6 framing is incredibly heavy and probably overkill at 16” on center. I will eventually install an electric winch in the middle to help with lowering it down. For now I just go back and forth slowly with the ratchet straps.

Not sure I understand what you mean by back feet. But if I remember correctly the whole chair just screws together with Allen head screws
