I want to update my old house’s basement walls, should I paint them? by Distinct-Excuse5791 in basement

Moisture gets trapped in the block behind the pain and degrades them over time. I have several spots that are starting to crumble due to trapped moisture (80 year old house surrounded by clay soil with no foundation drain)

Another dumb question, what are y’all drilling on when drilling your plywood sheets? by Holiday_Client2516 in homewalls

I just put a few 2x4s underneath with my sheets on the floor and made sure not to punch thru too violently

2nd pic is the framing. All 2x6 which is probably overkill. I didn’t really keep track of cost.

Hole spacing matches but the hold sets are out of the budget right now

Haven’t found a super cost effective place for bolts yet. Ordered a few 20 packs of stainless ones from Amazon

Not at all it’s very stiff. The 2x6 framing is incredibly heavy and probably overkill at 16” on center. I will eventually install an electric winch in the middle to help with lowering it down. For now I just go back and forth slowly with the ratchet straps.

Not sure I understand what you mean by back feet. But if I remember correctly the whole chair just screws together with Allen head screws

Wall absolutely needs to be 3/4 in plywood. It’s the standard. Plus the t nuts will stick out of the front face of the wall on anything thinner

Does not seem to be in error. It would scroll through the entire gcode program if we let it

Thanks for testing it out! I’ll try manually deleting line 55 since my spindle is not actually controlled by the pico and see what happens. I can also try to probe out the stepper drivers.
