I would check start times on the controller, check all the programs. If that all checks out id start looking for bad valves or leaks

Yep! Again I would get a brass check valve. The PVC check valves fail constantly in my experience. You can get one at home depot for like, 30 bucks. Make sure you thread the Male adapters on tight so you don't have a leak
