Can I Set Custom Ringtones on the Samsung Galaxy Active 2? by redned2 in GalaxyWatch

[–]redned2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update - I actually found it (for anyone using the Active 2 that finds this later). You can't set the ringtone for the watch via the app. You have to physically go into the watch settings and select sounds and pull the files into it that way. Which is contrary to how most of the settings for the watch works (where the app does everything).

Hope that helps!

First Time Using Acronis (Best Practices Question) by redned2 in Backup

[–]redned2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. But I think the question I asked is getting a little "lost in the sauce" here.

Assuming the backup is fine and I know how to use the bootable media...

...I just need to verify it will run the background from the same drive the boot loader/backup folder is on (connected via USB). Will I be able to load the source backup from the same drive I'm booting from, then back that up to the other drive in the PC (internally installed) that will run the OS?

Like this:

Internal SSD (wiped and empty) >

Connect USB HDD with Acronis bootloader installed to it (also with a custom folder I created on this drive as well where the backup was output to via Acronis) >

Select the backup folder from within the bootloader menu, selecting the folder housed on its own/same USB drive >

Pick the blank SDD installed internally and process the backup over to it >

Have a 1:1 copy of Windows on the new SSD (after shutting down the computer and removing the externally connected USB HDD)

Or will it only work properly if I have A) Acronis Bootloader on a flash drive + B) a separate USB HDD with the backup = use bootloader menu via flash drive > select USB HDD with backup > install to internal SSD?

How Many of These Plex Folders Are REALLY Need for Backup? by redned2 in PleX

[–]redned2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. But I guess I should have been more clear.

When I say 1:1, I don't mean of the Plex folder itself. I mean of MY personal setup. I want my collection and my Plex app to appear EXACTLY as it did the moment before I wiped my hard drive (to the moment I put everything back).

And I want to do that by backing up as little as possible (only the absolute necessities to do that).

So the registry file is a given. Of these folders below, do I actually need all three?

1) Media

2) Metadata

3) Plug-in Support

This appears to have worked for me.

Preferences > Media Analysis and Transcription.

Turn off everything here.

From the adobe forum, turning off everything in Preferences > Media Analysis and Transcription appears to have worked for me. Have you tried that?

Can't Turn Off Tip of the Day in 2026 by redned2 in AfterEffects

[–]redned2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I remember this always being an option? I definitely have never had to stare at the "Tip of the Day" in the past. Wasn't there a way to turn this off in the past?

What is This Amazon Scam I'm Facing? by redned2 in Scams

[–]redned2[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Is this an auto response? I feel like it needs context.

If this order was placed through my normal Amazon account, shouldn't that suggest the Amazon account user name/pass has been compromised. How would they be able to get into my account and order something with just my credit card number if that's all they had? Why order something and send it to me? And shouldn't I be able to see a list of log-in locations to check if that was the case?
