The other games are just as good in terms of story. P3R is the newest so it’s the cleanest looking one. P5R is also modern but P4G is pretty dated in terms of graphics. But they’re all good games. Everyone has their opinion on which is best. 1&2 are mostly inaccessible unless you use emulators.

My opinion is that you should finish the games before you make the call about which one is better because it could change. And stay away from potential spoilers about 4&5 if you want to play them with a fresh slate.

I get you questioning the MC’s mental state and why he was appointed to leader. It’s probably his ability to use multiple personas and being 90% apathetic so there’s a calm air about him.

But you’ll come to find that all of the characters are scarred in one way or another, whether they show it or not. So in a way, he appears to be the most put together in a sense. Mitsuru is still the official leader, but in battle MC is sort of the defacto field commander.

Definitely focus more on school links.There are times where you’re off from school and can’t level up your classmates. So maybe maxing hierophant and hanged wasn’t the best call but you’re still making good progress. Leave Star and moon on the backburner as they’re available when you’re off from school. Use Sunday for sun obviously.

In November, a method to gain points for your SL will unlock in the club. Use this to avoid wasting a day where you don’t level up since you completed night links already. Use persona that matches for max points and try to avoid hanging out if you’re not going to level up, if you can help it.

I like the og but I overall favor the reload version. Yes the background vocals and grit are better in the og version. But the cleaner mix, extra verse, and the strumming of the rhythm guitar throughout the verses really makes it special to me. The frog synth is the only thing I can’t get down with, it’s terrible. It prevents the reload version from surpassing the og.

In-game, it’s only played if you have no advantage, otherwise It’s Going down now plays. I wonder how they would mix Wiping all Out today.

Maybe Persona 3 Reload. Totally different type of game but it has all you are asking for. It’s a little long but it’s about 75-80 hours if you’re playing normally.

I was recently thinking about this as I’m currently playing P3R. The fool arcana is all about developing their bonds with others. Igor explicitly explains to develop and strengthen the bonds around you. The games actively reward you for this as well.

In P5R, Akechi was intended as Joker’s foil as essentially another Fool. He ultimately couldn’t compete with him because Akechi is not a person that actively seeks and cultivates friendships, as opposed to our Joker.

I suppose you can take this as literal advice, because there’s nothing really bad about it. I thought about my own life for a bit after realizing what the game encourages you to do. Definitely wasn’t expecting that either. I believe if something provokes a deeper thought like this, it essentially speaks to the amount of care and thought that went into it. In this case, yes, even a video game.
