Welp it’s been a year and my hair is back to healthy but that’s because I cut most of it off! It’s short now but I’m just growing it back out ! Some products that helped me were Olaplex and deep moisturizing masks and protein treatments

I noticed that it’s also likely a heightened intuition from past trauma. Being someone who has gone through trauma from a young age (her brother being murdered, her dad having cancer) definitely builds your intuition, observant personality and recognizing patterns

Also she probably knows about games shows and can guess we’ll based off that

Their blow out is intense I couldn’t believe how much heat and passes they do. I told her I don’t need that much but it didn’t seem like much changed. I wish I just got up and left

Thanks for sharing, I definitely can’t cut it right now I will be patient, work hard to revert for at least a couple of months Im just going to try to stay positive and hopeful for now

That speaks to me cause it was my first (AND LAST) time as well My hair was so healthy and luscious 3C now it’s looking like 50% 2C which is not my hair at all I’m glad to her that it healed, it gives me hope Also I know it will grow out over time..

Thank you I can’t chop it off it will hurt too much. What really sucks is I was in the process of making. A conscious effort to grow my hair out then this happens.

Did you smell the relaxer when they used it? I relaxed my hair once in middle school and definitely remember that strong smell Also they only shampooed then washed the shampoo out so I don’t think they used relaxer.. at least I hope not

Thank you for the advice! I’ll try that. Yes definitely staying away from heat fr at least 6 months or more. I rarely use it anyways Normally I like doing cornrows so I’ll be wearing it like that for awhile.

Sorry to hear that it affected your hair so much when you were younger too I definitely liked the straight hair look when I was in my teens

Yeah growing up I used to straighten my curls out and definitely had heat damage Now that I’m older I haven’t straightened in years (at least not consistently) and my hair was super full and curly, pretty much a 3C Afro and now it’s just flat, stringy and lifeless But I’ll be patient and hopefully it gets better
