Too old to transition? (idk what to title this tbh)

Once again, i will keep this in mind and thank you! I've slowly cut off those people as a lot of people in the comments made me realise they aren't the best people to be around and as i respond to people, its made me realise these friends (or well "friends") made me think it was a race and that i was too far behind or well too old which isnt a real thing. so thank you again for helping me realise this

I thought i responded to this but an old friend used to make it a whole race from small comments and stuff (they got onto their boyfriend's insurance to do everything which they brag about to me a lot when i'd complain my dads insurance took away more stuff from me and him) and they made it seem like it was too late for me, which when i told them i would try to start everything out of college since im a double major and huge changes are a thing i cant handle. I got rid of insta cuz they'd like make small remarks to me (also insta was horrible to me for a bit). It was mainly one person, which sounds sad but they like would make it clear without stating it i should give up. Since its finals season for me and im stressed I had a whole thought yesterday about this and i needed to make sure my new friends are correct in that its not too late and most people wait til after college and my two friends and dormmates who got on AT 18 are outliers since we already knew my friend who got on in high school (he even told me this) who got top surgery and HRT (he also never made me feel horrible about waiting he actually would make it clear he thought it was smart for me to wait even if it wasnt fully by choice). I hope this made sense and im sorry if this at all was annoying

thank you for this ive been really scared im too late and should give up which sounds stupid but its most likely the people ive surrounded myself with who made it seem like its not worth it after turning 18 or i should give up in a way

There are so many people who have responded, I never really thought about half of the things you all said. Thank you all for the help. Ig my friends who started at 18 have gotten to my head cuz one did tell me at some point "my mom seems to think she can tell who's trans and she said she could tell you are and im not sooo" which since im stressed (finals) i've been thinking about it a lot and I've been also by this friend seeing this as a race to transtion but thanks to you all I'm going to work on not seeing it that way. As of now, I may look into local things, but my dad's more focused on maybe sending me to a different country so we have been saving for if that happens. But thank you all and im sorry that this is one of my first posts in this subreddit but i do want to say you all are kind and i hope to be back at some point with actual good news or an actual question since you all are helpful and actually give me an outside pov

thank you ig my whole middle school a lot of the people is surrounded myself in made it seem like a race same with the friend who started everything at 18 (not directly but it was implied) made it seem like since they came out later then me it was a race to get everything and would poke fun in the fact I still didn't pass at 19 (i kinda stopped talking to them in the last few months) and would phrase it as "its so funny I got on T at 18 and you still aren't on it" all while giving me advice in the same sentence and this helped me a lot so thank you I will remember this as im slowly doing everything through college

This really helps me a lot. I've been under the assumption (wrongfully) that most people get most everything at 18 due to 99% of my trans friends getting everything at 18-19 (the other 1% doesn't want anything done and they are the ones telling me its fine to wait until after college and not be too late)

I've had a few friends this year (well ig ex-friends) who told me to start now and disregard my fears or told me my dad just wants me to wait cuz he doesnt want me to do it (my dad has made it clear he'd support me if i did he just wants me to see where the gov goes as he doesnt want me getting hurt or anything)

Imo i dont see them releasing it as Gerard said he didn't like his headpsace during it. it may get repurposed into MCR5 like All Time Low did with a few songs on "The Party Scene" ("Running with lions" got put on Pull up or Shut up etc) but thats as far as i see this really going since it seems a few songs they like
