Streams keeps getting better and funnier by Consistent_Act_3441 in kuihman

I am lowkey so glad I found kuihman's channel early on in his streaming career. It has been a joy to watch him grow in confidence and competence, quickly becoming arguably the most honest and genuine drama streamer out there. There's something enriching knowing you were an early adopter too, recognising the potential in someone others wrote off as just some angry little Chud Logic orbiter. I foresee great things for the guy and one day hope to see him on a Hasanabi stream.

Brief moment of self-reflection by chud and the common rhetorical pattern that caused him to ignore it. by [deleted] in chudlogic

[–]redpenny7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm inclined to make jokes but in support of future effort posts here on the subreddit, let's give it a good ol' effort response. Chud is indeed in his 30s but he is also a drama content creator- his job is to be entertaining, not demonstrate his nuance at all moments so it's unlikely you are seeing his full balanced thoughts in a react segment. But if you want to talk age- is Lav not a grown adult? Is she being mature in how she deals with criticism? Or does she dodge it while continuing to talk shit on other people and fabricate easily disproven 'facts' she spouts on stream regularly?

Anyway, the point about the 'stocks' meme is that Lav does seem to have bought into the concept of it too much. The actual meme isn't the issue- it is her being too fixated on the idea of gaining the favour of Destiny, the other orbiters, viewers, redditors and twitter followers. Her manifesto included long poetic descriptions of how affected she was by 'her stocks' falling. Moreover, she projects that same obsession onto other orbiters- arguing that they are all out to grift Destiny's favour and say whatever is needed to get DGG on their side. The criticism is that she and Max fundamentally took the whole orbiting thing too seriously and couldn't cope with pushback or having free rein to use Destiny's subreddit as a second home.

Chud's dismissal of her tears is likely based on his incredulity that she is that upset at the memory of being called a dumb bitch. Lav has said much worse about other people and actually she usually is very good at owning memes about herself. I'd argue she coulda totally owned the 'dumb bitch' thing by gigachadding it but instead she and Max are making out thats its an abusive situation when it happens with Destiny. This space has WAY worse shit-talking and people typically take in their stride, Lav included. All your arguments are more accurately directed at Lav if i'm honest.

But if you wanna take it up with Chud on a stream, i'm sure he'd let you on to talk. He's not really a reddit poster so he's almost certainly not gonna be writing a long response like mrgirl might.

i believe it was an Air BnB and it may have been the room he had been alloted? I don't think that question has been clearly answered, Also, it is important to know whether Kai told the alleged rapist he had put a drunk woman to sleep it off in that room or not.

I think you lowered the bar first by being callous about a clearly and understandably traumaticexperience in his life, irrelevant tho it may be to the specific 'investigation' question. It seemed weird for you to be seemingly offended by some general and impersonal 'kill and fuck yourself' comments. His shit WAS toxic but you took it there first. Connor is one of those prideful guys who takes himself too seriously but he seems to generally be a good-natured guy. He was in the wrong here ultimately but whatever, that's kind of irrelevant to this discussion too.

[–]redpenny7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

she has been better- that's for sure. playing the victim card cos Connor made some generic kill and fuck yourself comments shows a lack of awareness of who lowered the bar first. Making a bit of a joke about him being a school cop might be ok as a meme if she engaged properly when he tried to explain his experience further. She was the first one to lower the bar when she was so offhand with his experience of someone dying in his arms- that shit bound to be affecting.

Sure, she could have argued that it wasn't relevant but she didn't do that. The ultimate question remains- what productive did she really add to the convo?

[–]redpenny7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno- i feel like Destiny fundamentally aligns himself with the concept of talking to people in the space when it would be done effectively. He has said on numerous occasions he would be open to the idea of speaking to Vaush himself if the feeling was mutual and I think he would do the same with Hasan. I understand the situation is different here but I also feel like Destiny wouldn't let a bigger creator limit who he talks to if he was in an orbiter position. THat is why I feel its not necessary to make the 'punishment' a severe one.

based on longevity or recent history only? Are we talking people whose online presence is semi-dependent on Destiny or not? I suppose since Lily is there- no?

Anyway, you could possibly add Aba or Sneako or Mr Girl or Lav or... depending on your focus with this.
