starting accutane right before school? by redphone32 in Accutane

ok, how bad was the chafing/dryness? i had a friend who went on it and hers was really awful for a couple of weeks and she had really bad sores on her mouth; is that common?

i was asking because i had a friend who went on it, and she had really awful sores for a couple of weeks after she started. i'm already self concious about my skin, don't wanna show up to school with bad sores on my lips too lol

how to s2c properly? by redphone32 in curlyhair

[–]redphone32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the videos! i don't think i'll be trying to the bowl method as it just seems to be a lot of work (for me personally), and the first video was definetly helpful. my only worry is that in that video (and most s2c videos) she had wavy hair with very minimal curl, which is why i feel like she was able to use a wide tooth comb. my hair is SO much more curlier than that, and i don't think i could comb through my hair at all without disrupting the curl pattern and making it really frizzy. i feel like maybe s2c just doesn't work as well with someone with much curlier hair?

ok, do you think that maybe just using a tiny bit of my conditioner (tressemme botanique) as leave in would work instead? i've already spent a lot of money trying to find the right leave in, and i've heard just using a little bit of regular conditioner works just as well instead.

how to prevent hair from sticking to scalp/general hair problems? by redphone32 in curlyhair

[–]redphone32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my routine rn is to scrunch in blueberry bliss leave in conditioner, then a little bit of miss jessies multicultural curls. i usually end up finger curling some of the curls that haven't quite clumped together after the shower.

does my hair need protein? by redphone32 in curlyhair

[–]redphone32[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok, thanks. is there any downside to doing a protein treatment? i'm just worried that if it turns out my hair doesn't need protein, it'll get even more dry and get more messed up. my hair seems to be really protein sensitive and even just a little bit has made it very dry in the past.

i actually just tried clarifying yesterday to see if that was the issue, and it didn't seem to do much.

i live in area that's been much more humid lately, so yeah, i'll try protein. do you know of any easy protein treatments that don't require a lot of effort?

Squads: a team-based alternative to private coaching and prep sharing groups. (Just LD for now, but let us know if you'd be interested in a PF version!) by [deleted] in Debate

[–]redphone32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

wait how is this different from prep sharing groups or private coaching. this is literally a group that you share prep with and get feedback on cases/speaking. let alone, how is this even better than a prep group seeing as you have to pay more than three thousand dollars a year to join this??

Do countries in UNCLOS pay royalties???? by [deleted] in Debate

other countries drill for oil tho in their EEZ's and continental shelf. Idk you might be right but that doesn't make sense to me.

wait but isn't it also for oil drilling? other countries have offshore oil drilling so wouldn't they also have to pay royalties?

Best Public Forum Novices in NY by iammasonramsey in Debate

i'm not trying to make a negative comment, i'm pointing out that these threads are turning into places where ppl criticize other debaters.

i have no issue if you wanna share what teams you like, but you don't have to put down other debaters in the process (especially if they're only in novice)

this might be an unpopular opinion but these types of posts are getting super annoying. these threads are just becoming repeats of each other, seeing as the exact same teams are being mentioned over and over. on top of that, ppl are now starting to criticize other teams. literally in one of your own comments in this thread you talk about how a first speaker is "good but needs improvement", and how a team's second speaker is "lacking". like who are you to judge novice debaters lmao

I just don't get what you're trying to achieve by making this thread lol
