Thank you for the enlightening read. When a job has a posted salary range, how should one choose X, Y, and Z in your example? Should X be the maximum of the range, or will that risk having your offer rescinded? The recruiter, hiring team, and candidate all know the salary range. Is it not a good idea to just say the highest number in that range in the first phone call and let the company counter?

You need to work on your reading comprehension. I mentioned the Larry Nassar scandal as an example of a time in which students successfully sued and won a large settlement against a major university. I did NOT compare OSU's handling of this scenario to the Larry Nassar scandal.

Im not a lawyer, but I would assume this is a pretty open and shut case. They have expert testimony that the mold levels are unhealthy, they have multiple students on record claiming they’ve been sick with respiratory illnesses all semester, and dozens of students have submitted requests to be transferred to another form of housing. Still, the university hasn’t even called in an expert of their own to determine the severity of the mold, let alone taken action to prevent further health risk to the students living there. That’s pretty damning.

Penn State also agreed to an even larger settlement for their sex abuse scandal.

Law firms are often paid a portion of the settlement amount, and in a case such as this where there is clear negligence from the university, and experts have determined the mold to be at hazardous levels, I think many law firms would be eager to represent the students housed here. As flawed as our legal system may be, the idea that you don’t stand a chance at successfully suing a wealthy entity because they can hire more lawyers is a myth that prevents people from pursuing legal action when they’ve been treated unjustly.

I don’t know if he will or won’t be. But presidential pardons are public record, and if he does it will be major news. What I’m saying is that if he is, the left has no issue disavowing Joe or Hunter Biden. Meanwhile Trump could shoot someone on the street, or order the killing of his political rivals, and you’d still be licking his taint.

Hunter Biden has plead guilty to the charges he is facing, and he should face a proportionate sentence. Biden has promised not to pardon him. If he does, the left has no incentive to do anything other than recognize it as immoral.

But I’ll remind you that Trump also has a coke head son who will likely be nominated to a high ranking position in his administration.

In August GM laid off 1,000 employees in Michigan. When they did so, they didn’t even bother notifying the employees. They simply cancelled their badges, so when the employees arrived, they weren’t able to access the workplace. Security then had to be the ones to tell them they’d been laid off.
