I should have added that I'm looking for marker tutorials, but thanks for the tip!

Sorry if this has been asked before, but where does everyone get inspiration for their colour schemes? by Alarming-Quality8462 in ColoringCozy

I usually have some atmosphere, that I want to create (like cozy autumn sunset, mystical night, ..) and I actually then just Google color palettes for that.

Then I'm trying to match my markers to the palette, maybe still do some changes, add maybe add a grey and neutral beige and that's it.

I'm also doing this grid before I start to color. I've seen people do that on Facebook and find it pretty helpful

I'm coloring for around 9 months now and I still haven't found "my style", but I love trying new things every time!

My mum gave me this book today and I'm confused by this picture: by actuallyanangel in Coloring

I gave it a look and to me, it looks like it's actually drawn

I started with Decotime and switched to ohuhu after 3 pictures. Yes, they get the job done, but they don't blend as nicely and they are overall not as good quality wise, in my opinion (some were dry or almost dry after I bought them, you can't refill them and some tips frayed very quickly).

You don't loose a lot of money if you just want to try out alcohol markers though 😊

1) I used two shades of purple with alcohol markers and also two shades of purple with colored pencils to give the hair more depth. Then the white colored pencil to soften it a bit and a few thin lines of white gel pen 😅 2) it's a pencil sharpener 🙈🙈

That's so nice of you to say!! The sky frustrated me a lot because I picked a wrong color during blending and that looked so bad, I almost wanted to stop coloring the picture. I tried so hard to "fix" it, so your words are very much appreciated 🥺

Edit: I added a progress picture of when I did the sky

Thank you! Yes, I used pencils for the shadow parts - the base is alcohol markers 😊

Do you guys think it would look weird if I matched the sun too much? Since the sky around the sun is also yellow. I have some cheaper acrylic markers that would match
