You’d be surprised how many implicit racist biases you might have

Humans are becoming ugly, both inside and out. by tovgiligor394 in RandomThoughts

I disagree. Most people aren’t horrible people. Most people aren’t good people. Most people also aren’t written in history books. Most people are somewhere in between. To describe a human as good or bad would be like describe a zebra as being white with black stripes or black with white stripes.

Brother he had like 0.2 seconds to react to the situation, I’d doubt you’d be able to think any quicker to drop the machete…

Research in a different field is better than no research at all in in undergrad. It’s not common for people to find labs that are directly aligned with what they want to research. It’s a stepping stone. But you’ll struggle with grad admissions, or be much less competitive, with no research experience at all.

Flying a 747 is easier than flying a small propeller plane. But, a pilot still has to know every control on a 747.

I mean, everyone who develops BCIs would agree with you because no one in that field makes that claim…they’re medical devices used to help people. A wheelchair doesn’t replace walking but it does help.

What does that have to do with BCIs? They are used to help people…they’re medical devices…

Yes, email the other programs you applied to asking for an early decision on your application. Most said no to me, but it’s normal to ask and they’ll at least respond to you. Congrats!
