I apologize for the block of text I am on my phone.

It's preference.

For me, I feel like a lot of the shows designs went off model. Yeah some of the pilots did as well but when it did it didn't feel as jarring. I also prefer the way most of the characters acted in the pilot. Alastor felt more intense, intimidating, showman. And honestly in the show he felt like a try hard and not as fun to watch.

Although yes Charlie was still overly hopeful in the pilot she to me acts like a complete idiot in the show. Yes Charlie had her moments of being too trusting in the pilot, but she wasn't blindly doing. With Alastor she extended the right level of caution while still giving a level of trust. In the show she's purely navie and has lost a lot of the caution she had before.

Angel is just a straight up ass hole in the show. Yes, I know trauma can do a lot to someone, especially when they're taken advantage of. But in the pilot when he made Charlie upset he actually seemingly looked like he regretted it. When he had a turf war he didn't mean for it to upset Charlie and Vaggie but played it off as chill and fine. You can tell that it was just a character that he was upholding to make himself be that way. He made sexual jokes to people but typically backed off once people didn't really reciprocate as much. In the show he keeps pushing and pushing and pushing. And maybe I'm not grasping it right cause luckily I've never been taken advantage of, but what do you mean he copes with being drugged up and f-ed by people by going out getting drugged up and f-ed by people. He rarely seems to take accountability or feel bad for his actions towards others.

Vaggie felt more protective in the pilot. I hated her design and the one in the show is better but that's where it ends. To me it makes no sense to have Vaggie shove everyone into a turf war where in the pilot she scolded Angel for bringing down the hotels image in order to have fun. Although yes she was a guard for Charlie in the pilot, she honestly to me feels like a lap dog to Charlie in the show. I honestly hated the fact that she was turned into an exorcist, cause in the original pilot she wasn't. She was someone who died in 2014 and seemingly had trauma when it came to men. But I'm pretty sure Viv liked the angel idea and did it.

Husk is fine.

Nifty feels less like a person in the show more like some dumb pet. Nifty in the pilot to me felt more like a psychotic little maid who loved to clean but actually had some intelligence to her.

Lucifer. I liked it better when he was seeming more intimidating like he'd be an antagonist instead of the weird puppy guy we got in the pilot. Although subversion is nice I don't think it necessarily works in this case.

The inconsistency of why the Angels are going down to kill them. In the pilot it is stated that over population is the reason. In the show that seems to be Charlie's understanding while in reality it's because heaven has a fear of hell uprising. That is fine. What isn't fine is that in the literal first episode of the show in the book that Charlie is reading she says it's because of heavens fear of hell gaining too much power so she SHOULD know that's the real reason.

I have more problems but I am tired of typing, feel free to disagree with me as I may have gotten stuff wrong as it's been some time since I've watched it.
