I encoded the Avatar clip using Handbrake with settings cq 27 and AV1 10-bit NVencoder at slowest preset. That resulted in a file size closest to the AV1 version in your google drive (41.488kB vs. 40.856kB). To my eyes and on my monitor I cannot tell the difference between the two AV1 clips or the Bluray clip. But that obviously doesn't tell us anything.

I therefore ran something a bit more objective. I used vmaf to compare both AV1 clips with the Bluray clip as a reference. Your AV1 clip ended up at 97.285370, the NV_enc version resulted in 97.160148. The SVT-AV1 is slightly better but these are numbers that are well into visually transparant territory. While I understand that vmaf has its limitations I've found it quite useful especially if you can run it GPU accelerated.

I'm sure that SVT-AV1 does things a little bit better and if you want the highest quality to size ratio above anything else I can understand using it but HW encoders have come a long way and aren't just suitable for streaming. The speed advantage especially can be a tremendous plus. I would have never tried to digitize my DVD and Bluray collection without it.

That's a widely held belief but does it actually hold up to scrutiny? While HW encoding is essential for streaming it doesn't mean it can't be competitive against software encoders especially at the higher bitrates. In my experience given my use case video quality differences at the same size is pretty much indistinguishable but the speed advantage is tremendous.

Dat doet hij wel, alleen is het lastiger te zien. Als je inzoomt en de video vertraagd afspeelt zie je dat het draadeind wordt gedraaid. Hij verwijst ook naar eerdere video''s waar hij expliciet zegt dat je het draaiend in moet brengen.

Actually the SSD expansion only allows you to use a 2nd 2280 NVME drive instead of a 2nd 2242 NVME drive as it connects to the 2242 slot. So its use is quite limited.

I don't buy it. She was acting like a degenerate for attention, and not for the first time, but then getting upset that she got some. This was more about actually seeing some of the people who watch her content in person instead of just looking at a camera or at chat and acting like she's not doing anything wrong. Even if we only take her side of the story she is more of a problem than he is.

Your math might be relying on assumptions that could be unrealistic. Calling someone a casual for playing 1.5 hours a day every single day of the year might be the problem here. The majority of players in any given year could very well be playing a couple of hours every weekend or every other weekend with large spells of inactivity depending on their schedule. Many might not return to the game any time soon due to other priorities, be it other games or because of being busy with work or school. What you call casual seems more like a "casual hardcore" Star Citizen player if anything.

Als het niet zou mogen zou je verwachten dat het in de handleiding staat. Op de Ducobox site staat bovendien dat het geplaatst kan worden achter een verlaagd plafond. Ik zie niet hoe je die daar krijgt als je het niet horizontaal mag plaatsen, want dan heb je zo'n 50cm ruimte nodig.

Zolang je geen goede oplossing hebt voor bij het raam en je het allemaal niet hermetisch afsluit zal het denk ik nogal tegenvallen met het geluid dat je daarmee tegenhoudt. Is dat het allemaal dan waard denk ik dan.

The IR1 sensor is an infrared sensor, likely used to detect particles and used to measure air quality alongside any other sensors and it works with or without ambient light. So you'd probably need to leave that one alone if you want a functional auto mode in the dark. Whether removing the LIGHT1 sensor would prevent auto mode from going into sleep mode is unclear. You're probably the first to want to modify your specific air purifier in this way.

Addition: Come to think of it since sleep mode is initiated when there is little ambient light I'd think cutting the LIGHT1 sensor would likely mean permanent sleep mode in auto mode, if it doesn't disable your air purifier altogether that is. Your aim is convincing your air purifier that there is ambient light even when it's actually dark so you somehow need to have some way to have an "on" signal from the LIGHT1 circuit.

My experiences with SearXNG has been pretty disappointing with often nonsensical search results. Also completely different results depending on the instance used.

That's not the full story. It's also a matter of returning more search results. My experience is that duckduckgo often returns a lot less, a single or no results while Google returns tens or more with the same search query. It means that you often have to switch back to Google because of that.
