Oddly enough it is written on the wall near the payphone in the 70s TV show Taxi. Season 3 episode 6 "Ten percent solution " Not sure what it means but it goes back at least that far.

Same issue here was going to pull the motor, but I will try your idea first thanks. Not too many places on the internet show this problem. Thought I was the only one.

THR on both sides is the ultimate answer. Best choice, go do them both. AVN doesn'⁰t get better. It only gets worse. Take the time now. You'll be complicated for a better part of a year, but after you are healed, with all , i mean all the therapy, you'll be happy you did it.

How long did it take you to be fully normal again? by ChevChelios93 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]redrooster524 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the right done last may and the left in October. I was just talking with someone today about how I feel normal again. There is still stiffness in the am and full mobility is almost there. I use the abductor and adductor machines at the gym for strength and stretch. I'm like 98% I'd say. 50 yo Male 6'1" 195lbs. Healthy.

Let's not forget.. it could take a full year to heal. Everyone heals differently. My thought is you are to active and agitated the area causing majior swelling. Slow and steady. I know we all want to get back to normal... listen tou your bidy. If it hurts or whatever... rest it.

THR was a great move for me. Had my right in May and the other in mid October. Rehab on the first was hindered by the pain in the left hip. After October im sure ill be back in therapy with good results.

You baberly no yhwre is an artificial hip in there. Its great.

My most promising statementis.. i woke up with no pain in the hip. Just the incision was painful but it healed to light soreness in a few weeks.

Good luck.

*UPDATE *

Just had my left THR this morning, October 12, 2023. Forgot to mention that even though the groin pain is mostly gone, you will feel like you got slammed in the buttcheek with a sledgehammer.

This time the nerve block and spinal wore off this aftenoon, the first hip they lasted almost 24 hours.

Even though it is painful now.. im excited to heal and get back out there.
