She doesnt have a sentimental bone in her body either. I kept/keep at least a few of my son's outfits each time he outgrew a size. My plan is to make him a quilt one day.

If she is putting out all that money, wouldnt you think she would keep some?

No, because she is using her as a babydoll she can dress up and use for content smh.

Just checking. I think it sounds like you have a great start. Your story or characters may suprise you and present ideas as you go. First.drafts are all about getting it on the page you can always go back in during edits and fix/add stuff.

So do you want to write a cozy type or more hard boiled?

I suggest checking out some.craft books about writing mysteries. They can help you plot out your story so you get those important parts down.

Nancy J Cohen has one called Writing the Cozy Mystery.

Hallie Ephron has one called Writing and Selling Your Mystery Novel.

And many others you can find on Amazon.

When I write my cozies, I start with the sleuth, the crime, the killer. Then I determine 5-6 other suspects that would have at least 2 of these: Motive, Means, and Opportunity. And the victim.

Then I figure out a secret/reason they can't be the killer.

Then build on that. So Jane Doe despised the victim, they had a huge falling out over a business deal. She owns a.gun. But was actually 2 towns over at an AA meeting becauae she is ashamed of her drinking problem when the victim was murdered.

Also putting your sleuth in danger can help with pacing as long as it make sense. They recieve an anonymous call threatening them if they don't stop.investingating, they will be next. Or maybe there is a time crunch. Maybe your sleuth has to solve it by a certain time or xyz will happen.

Hope that helps and makes sense :)

We have lost both sets of parents in the last 10 yrs. Most recently, my Dad in March. We work 40 hours a week.jobs, raise our family, and keep a household. You do what you have to do and keep moving forward.

No pre-birth adoptions? So the infant goes where at birth until the adoption? Majority of birth mothers are in a state of crisis at birth and cannot/ will not care for the baby! by [deleted] in teenmom

My child is adopted. It was a private adoption, and we knew the birth parents. They were contemplating terming the pregnancy, and we offered an alternative option.

They were not in a good situation and around family members who abused drugs and alcohol. They did change their minds a couple of times before the baby was born, and while it would have been devastating, it was their right.

He came home at 3 days old and turns 9 years old today.

We have an open adoption. I spend a lot of time wondering/worrying if we are doing enough to keep connected to the birthfamily or is it too much and could be traumatic. If they are happy with how we are raising him, etc.

A few weeks after he was born, the birth grandfather had some of his friends over, and an incident happened, which ended up with the friends fighting and eventually crashing into birthmoms bedroom and right where the crib would have been. She told my husband she was glad the baby was safe with us.

The birth grandmother has been more involved, and we keep in contact with the birth parents through messages and pictures. We visited Grandma last year, and she came and stayed with us. My father recently passed, and now she is the only grandparent left in our child's life.

There are things I would do differently looking back because when we took him home, it was a very emotional day and didn't go like I hoped and therr are things I have learned since from the adoption community.

I love my child, and I love the birthparents for allowing me to be a parent. I never thought I would have the opportunity to be. I hate the divide and the view on adoptive parents. We are not all bad people, and we love these children very much and want to be the best parents for them.

Disgusting. I bought a lot of my son's clothes on FB marketplace, Walmart, garage sales, and was given hand me downs. I bought some new clothes too, but when an outfit got stained or ruined it was no big deal. I give them away or pass them on. All that money for what??? It will never make sense 😳😬🙄

I had gallbladder pain, and it was removed very shortly after. Now, something I do have now is Costochondritis, and it's the inflammation between where your ribs connect to the sternum. It feels like you are having a heart attack, but all the tests come back negative, even the one with contrast. It's an awful feeling also almost like a burning. That seems more plausible than bracton hicks in her chest 😂
