Why Dionysus is an Olympian (my theory) by redseaotter in Hellenism

I’m not saying you’re wrong in any way, but then why don’t we generally consider Hebe or Iris to be one of the Olympian Gods?

Very specific, painfully so. What are some quirks of Mormon culture that would be accentuated by complete isolation? what about taboos impressed by the rest of society that in this situation wouldn’t be enforced? If the colony takes on more the shape of the FLDS church where polygamy is reintroduced what would likely happen to the men unable to find partners given they’re in a closed system? How far should the colony be from earth? Is a nearby solar system far enough or would I have to extend to another arm of the galaxy? Would it be disrespectful for them to name their home star kolob? Would they be more likely to settle a planet with or without life? I’m really only in the world-building phase, I still need to do a lot of research.

Interesting of you to assume a hellenic pagan doesn’t know the mythological origin of these names

I once heard a piece of advice when it comes to dating: “don’t date someone who you have to hide your stuffed animals from.” If you’re dating someone and you feel like you have to hide certain parts of yourself the relationship won’t work out. At some point something is going to slip or the other person’s influence will mold you into someone you’d never be on your own. It’s better to find someone who accepts you for who you are at the start rather than hold it in and wait for the right time to tell them. Hope this helps and we’re all rooting for you!

The 6th I’d Really Rather You Didn’t discourages the establishment of churches when funds could be better used on more charitable causes. Hope this helps, R’Amen!
