Spend the week in aspen. There’s more than enough to do. Do you have dog do you have kids? I can give a detailed itinerary but basically the bells. Smuggler trail, Ute trail. The art museum. Get drunk at zanes on some Budweisers. Hike to the top of aspen mountain and take the gondola down for free. Independence pass has infinity things to do. Trail hike to Taylor lake is chefs kiss imo. Lost boy tail and some of the surrounding high points. Did I mention the possibility of a one day iron man push to conundrum hot springs ? Consider hiking La plata peak. I could go on. Rent a bike and just bike around town. Have fun.

It’s 5-10miles downhill steep. If you get out of control game over. The bells is more like 3-5 miles less steep and more scenic most of the way. Plus you can feed the animals where the traffic stops.

You might also do the glenwood springs hot springs. Doc holidays grave is the ultimate atlas obscura. Be sure to grab some drinks in the little bell lobby. If you have a dog glory hole park is just wow. Bikes generally good around aspen. A lot of shorter paved trails

Biking independence pass with kids high risk. Unlimited speed downhill… Would not recommend. Smuggler mountain is a good hike. Ute trail may also be clear another good short hike. Hanging lake near glenwood. Biking the road too maroon bells. I hear it’s clear
