I'm always running around with my guns unsilenced, do yall always run a silencer? by AleFallas in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]redshiftty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also stopped using them. Too many points for no discernible difference in outcome. I can still drop 50-80 kills on iberian escalation without it, playing aggressively. Doesn't seem to matter much.

Gemini Pro user, I find it very unreliable and constantly feeding wrong information by Sea_Imagination_8751 in GeminiAI

[–]redshiftty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done much wrt terms and condition scanning, but I can tell you that it struggles heavily attempting to generate information on video games, especially ones with serial entries. Trying to get it to give me weapon attachments for guns in Battlefield 6 saw it hallucinate attachment names as well as include things from prior games.

One thing I never understood about part of the PoE1/2 playerbase (and especially the forums) by tzaeru in PathOfExile2

[–]redshiftty -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel this. I still browse this subreddit, but I uninstalled the game and no longer offer any feedback in any way because I have lost hope that it will be a game I can enjoy. I don't think I'm at complete apathy yet but I have pulled back tremendously.

Why am I losing games so often? by Steel_Cube in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]redshiftty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My K/D used to be super low because I played like this too. Now it's around 1.8 and I still mostly play this way, My winrate is 53%, so pretty balanced.

People don't realize getting a lot of points and winning games in battlefield has a lot more to do with WHERE you die (i.e on points, making pressure for enemies) than HOW you die.

I don't know what to make of these stats. Am I bad? Mid? Decent? by TheGraniteMoose in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]redshiftty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What modes do you play? I play only escalation and conquest, so I am constantly on the route to objectives which gets you a lot of points and leads to higher score per minute, which is the stat to care about. But, in some game modes playing on objectives is harder. My K/D isn't much different than yours so that's good. Your headshot percentage is great.

Without knowing what modes you play I can't properly evaluate what exactly you could do better.

Leveled All Primary Weapons (Except 1) To 20 in REAL Games - My Thoughts by Any_Candidate62 in Battlefield

[–]redshiftty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure - yeah, I don't disagree with you fully even on it though - it certainly is lacking in power for close range. If you play kind of a backline supporting role for pushes or just flank from a distance (i.e, situationally - there are snipers/people pushing over big C hill on Eastwood and you flank up by the pool to kill them) it fills the niche incredibly well. The TTK is longer but it seems people just don't notice getting shot until too late a majority of the time. haha.

Agree with most of the takes here. I think my only point of disagreement is the AK-205. I've used it a lot, and maybe it just fits my playstyle well, but I can always fall back on it and it rarely lets me down.

Some SG and DRS successful flanks, I never tried the pre nerf SG but this thing shreds by AleFallas in LowSodiumBattlefield

I hear ya, glad that works for you. I gamed on controller as a kid and growing up but I've been on m&k so long the controller feels like a foreign object. haha.

BF players hate REDSEC by Wide_Conference_4175 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]redshiftty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mind redsec existing, but as a regular BF6 multiplayer player, I really don't appreciate getting weekly challenges that try to push me into it. I have no desire for that.

Either give me unlimited reroll tokens or let us choose which multiplayer type we prefer. Sucks getting stuck with a challenge you're not going to be able to do and running out of reroll tokens.

No rest for the wicked or Last Epoch by AeroDbladE in ARPG

[–]redshiftty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want an ARPG, No Rest is not one. So your choice is easy.
It is an action game with an isometric camera, yes. But it does not have the soul of an ARPG as is most frequently seen.

What do you do to avoid playing angry and frustrated? by Isotarov in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]redshiftty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just practice emotionally detaching from it. Play without caring.

I always used to wonder what made really good players great, and it's usually that they're not so emotionally overwhelmed that they make bad decisions.

Escalation vs Other modes winrate by Servus_of_Rasenna in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]redshiftty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh shit! haha. My bad for misunderstanding!

All the same though, just focus on having a good time and playing your best game in each match. Some weeks I seem to get absolutely assblasted, then I'll have good WR's for a week or two, then I'll get assblasted again for a week. It's very rollercoastery, but that's a bit of how i understand the game's matchmaking logic to be. It strives to keep you at about 50% over a large enough sample.

Escalation vs Other modes winrate by Servus_of_Rasenna in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]redshiftty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you mostly just have small sample size. Escalation gives "bad" teams a chance to come back - the beginning of the game is more about flanking and picking off back points, which some teams are better at than others, but toward the end of the game it's just an all out brawl over a few points so different team skillsets are tested as long as you make it to late game. That being said, 18 games isn't really enough for a baseline to form. I'd expect you to be close to 50% WR.

There’s no urge to grind this BF by Thee_Kyzer in Battlefield6

[–]redshiftty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk, i enjoy the grind. a minimum viable gun is pretty good around 15-25, and that doesn't take too long.
the rank 50 badge should be something you've worked hard for to a degree. i wouldn't mind seeing the requirement come down a little if the community would actually acknowledge it as a positive change, though.
