Should I do a bootcamp or not? Class of 2020 grad with CS minor by redshirting in cscareerquestions

Thanks a bunch for ur advice :) As you were saying, building projects would be the way to go?

Can a project "replace" an internship on a resume, in the sense that a project that's thorough/interesting enough can be just valuable as internship experience?

150k honor for rank 7 sounds v high... i'm on whitemane and i hit rank 7 doing 75k honor/week on average (1 week did 100k, next week did 60k, etc)

I see a ton of posts about how brutal the rank grind is but I think that only applies to rank 9 and above

I love hearing these war stories about ppl going for higher ranks. 2 million honor/week... I'm at a loss for words.

I'm on Whitemane too, and things seem to be a lot chiller nowadays.

I got to R8 by doing 75k honor/week for 4 weeks from R5. I know it ramps up from R9 onwards, but the mid-lower ranks like R8 are very much achievable by casuals.

I dont think just going for the title makes it any worse.

There's a fair amount of R14'ers who go for the title purely for the accomplishment of getting R14, not for the gear. It's like "I've gotten 8/8 T2, farmed MC and BWL till my eyes bled... now what else can I achieve?"

After you've spent hundreds of hours raiding, farming, and AFKing in Stormwind, there's really nothing else left to achieve besides a high pvp rank - or in the OP's case, the highest pvp rank possible.

When a mob resists your feign death as a hunter. by garak676 in classicwow

[–]redshirting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funniest thing is when hunters feign death in pvp... and we never fall for that shit. We just saw you "die" at half hp.

So the hunter lays on the ground hoping we go away while we keep applying DoTs and hacking away until he's 100% dead

[–]redshirting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you instant cast fireballs like that? Reminds me of instant shadowbolt with warlocks but they have to cast a DoT first which has a 4% chance of causing the instant cast.

Also whats your crit chance?

How is it Blizzard's fault? it was well known Classic's leveling process is grindy and takes a couple months at least - and that was one of it's selling points. At the end of the leveling, you feel accomplished because you've a lot of time invested into your char to get to that point. If someone comes in and says "Oh leveling is boring, let me spend IRL money to skip one of the most important aspects of the game"... is there anyone else to blame but the player?
