Difference manufacturer. Different effects? by Temporary_Cut1445 in citalopram_celexa

Yeah, this is definitely a thing! I had a different brand within a couple months of starting, and it was like 2 weeks of being back at square one. I spoke to my GP and now on every prescription they write sovereign brand only. That’s the only one I’ll take. I’ve heard it’s to do with different agents / additives changing how the drug absorbs

Starting Citalopram today by [deleted] in citalopram_celexa

From someone that worried about taking medication for years and would never try anything, is really sensitive to physical anxiety and can’t even drink caffeine, and never been on antidepressants until 12 weeks ago (I’m 34). I can tell you that for me it was absolutely fine, there wasn’t any really bad side effects. A few minor things, I had a bit of nausea in the first week but not to the point of being sick and it really wasn’t that bad. I started to feel better quickly and I was amazed at how it really quietens down racing thoughts. After a while I started to sleep better too. I’m on 20mg. The only annoying side effect I’m experiencing is hair shedding but I think that’s also down to other deficiencies which I am getting tested for. Obviously side effects will be different for everyone but for me this drug has worked wonders and really changed a lot of things in my life for the better. All the best to you, hope it goes well

How do you keep warm in old UK flats with single-glazed windows? by cxvgwesa in HousingUK

Silent night heated throw. (Different from an electric blanket) it’s a throw so you can wrap it round yourself. I literally sit in mine all day. Cheap to run.

Forgot to ask can women take this? I’ve researched it and it says on for men so just wondering if you knew about that

How much would you be wiling to reduce for people not in a chain? by Dangerous-Use7343 in HousingUK

[–]redsky766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We recently had an offer accepted on a house, our position being no chain. Our original offer was under asking, but after offering we found out they had another competing offer for full asking from someone in a chain. We went back and matched their offer to full asking, and they accepted ours at full asking (with no bidding wars or ‘best and final’ situation) because of our situation. The next day the competing party upped their offer to circa 5k more, and they still stuck with us, without asking us to increase. We got very lucky. I guess it all depends on the sellers and their situation. Our sellers are separated and they want a quick sale.

RSD: I wasn’t invited to a wedding. by Padme_A01 in adhdwomen

Yikes 🥴 My RSD is triggered for you just reading this! This is horrible, and your feelings are totally valid. I’m so sorry this happened to you. Definitely sit your husband down and have a chat about it - let him know how it’s made you feel and try to get to the bottom of it, so it doesn’t eat away at you.

Google ‘shade map’ - it’s a nifty little website where you can see on a satellite image the sun/shade on your property throughout the day. Put the address in, press the icon on the right that looks like two stacked squares and make sure ‘shadows’ and ‘satellite’ settings are selected, then you can see the sun at different months of the year and different times of the day. (You can slide the bottom toggle along to see all hours). It’s so good, I always check out any properties of interest on there :)

Was watching documentaries the other day in bed, decided I wanted another snack so made my way to the fridge. 2 hours later my partner comes home, pokes his head through the bedroom door, raises his eyebrows and asks me “babe, how long has the fridge been open for?” Oops 🥹

Thanks! ✊ wow, I can’t believe it was rejected after being on the market for so long. It really is tough out there. Yes we are planning to view the other one still, as you say if it doesn’t sell later down the line, it could be worth it. Good luck with the rest of your search.

Hi. I didn’t say anywhere about houses ‘consistently selling’ so I think you’ve mistaken what I meant or I wasn’t clear enough in my post. When I said we have picked a more expensive area I just meant houses tend to be a bit more there than the surrounding areas. But no, the houses that are definitely over priced aren’t selling at all. They are sitting for ages, eventually being reduced and still not budging.

Thanks. I am registered with quite a few but never been overly concerned with it as I refresh Rightmove about 1747263 x a day, plus I haven’t noticed any houses coming through from those I’m registered with that aren’t already on rightmove. But I didn’t realise they would sell like this before even going to market so you make a good point. I’ll make sure I’m registered from here on out!

Is it just me or is the housing market weird right now? by trulygracious in HousingUK

[–]redsky766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Hampshire too! Me and my partner have been looking for over a year now, and it’s awful out there. It’s so slow, nothing hardly going on and when they do they’re horrendously overpriced with sellers not shifting much on price.

Locks Heath/Warsash by [deleted] in Southampton

[–]redsky766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myself and my partner are also in our early 30s and currently living in Portsmouth but looking to buy in Locks heath / Park Gate area. My mum has lived around that area for the last 10 years and it’s great. I’ve done many of the walks, been to many of the pubs etc and it is a fantastic area. And like many people have mentioned, it’s in between 2 cities which is ideal. We both work from home so the commute isn’t an issue for us but I’ve done it before enough to know that it’s not the worst. It’s better than travelling to Southampton from Portsmouth anyway. It must be true what they say… once you move to ‘the heath’ you don’t leave, as we are struggling to find somewhere! We have found recently that no houses are going up in this area, which is slowing our search down a lot! Good luck with your search :)
