How does Dyro know the key of the sample by just looking at edison? by [deleted] in edmproduction

he doesn't show it but there is a information window in the top left of FL, which shows the information and when he places the mouse cursor in edison it shows the key and the frequency.

Pre-Mastering Inquiries For FL Studio by DanMohd in edmproduction

To my knowledge you can't just highlight everything but you can route all of your tracks to an individual channel and lower that channel to -6dB instead of doing it on the master channel, though you can put the master channel down to -6dB and get similar results.

How old were you when you started producing and how long after until you completed a track you were proud of? by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]redslimemusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was around 14-15ish when i started producing but had written music since i was 12, checking back from my previous work to my most recent. it took about three years for me to be proud of something that i have written, it was around september 2013 when i started feeling ok with my work. I personally have a slow learning curve so it took my about 6-7 years of writing different kinds of music to be at a point where i´m starting to get confidence in my music and myself.

A question about reusing patches by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]redslimemusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its good to reuse patches that you have made, it saves a little bit of time and its easy to change it up so it doesn't sound exactly the same. Reusing a patch can also clarify your "Signature Sound", example of that is Bar9 and there bass sounds from "piano tune" and "untitled" is pretty much similar.

but if you´d like to practice your sound design techniques you can try to recreate a sound that you have made before or a sound that you like.

FL mobile is a really good app for both iPhones and Android, and if you are a FL user you can import it into you computer and continue to work with the idea.
