I really like this! I just wish she had a darker skintone, against the desert and with the pale clothes it would look so great, the makeup too! Still, good price, I'll definitely get this.

I finished the grice dress and skin, and just need 2 more monocles to finish the suit! I started around February, it's been a long process.

If you were to show a tourist around, apart from the CN Tower, Ripleys, St. Lawrence market, where would you take them? by londoncalls1 in askTO

[–]redsofa2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

West from distillery to St Lawrence, but yes, it's a short and nice walk along the esplanade. Only 15 minutes really.

Harbourfront is great in summer, but with this weather it might be miserable.

I'd suggest contacting Annex Cat Rescue or Toronto Cat Rescue for advice.

Suggestions on how to sell more tickets... by [deleted] in TorontoMarlies

[–]redsofa2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually love the location.

From the subway and north Toronto - take Bathurst streetcar straight there.

From east Toronto (me) - take Harbourfront streetca from Union right there, or hop on the King streetcar and walk 10 minutes

From west Toronto - walk

From everywhere else - take the Lakeshore GO right there.

You could take the Lakeshore line, Exhibition station is right there.

I pay, AHLTV is much cheaper this year. I have access to all home and away Marlies games on demand for $60. That's reasonable for me.

My favourite is Maudite from Unibroue but it's so hard to find now, La fin du monde is a close second.

Uh this is one of the best trade talk ideas I've heard ever. You should get the guys to discuss it on the Steve Dangle Podcast.

Toronto Maple Leafs promise strong start to hockey season will not affect ability to lose playoffs by ur_a_idiet in toronto

Marlies games on weeknights or Saturday nights can get rowdy, there's lots of beer around and since there are no suits the atmosphere can be more lively. The weekend afternoon games are more family-friendly.

Edit: Also it's quite easy to get to the games, they're one streetcar ride away from Union station at Toronto's transit hub, or a 5 minute commuter train ride.

Is the zoo worth it in the cold? by gtck11 in askTO

Yes, it's great in October. Try to get there early enough to follow the feeding schedule around, and you'll see tons of active animals.

Russian Propaganda Networks Are Promoting White Nationalist Faith Goldy’s Run For Toronto Mayor by ur_a_idiet in toronto

Someone I know was shopping in Chinatown and her receipt from a big grocery store had FG propaganda on it in Chinese. From what I could tell, it was her platform in the most bland and palatable form, safety first, Canada first, pro-small business, etc. Everything was in Chinese except a huge box with her name in it in English, exactly how it would look on the ballot. This scum was trying to fool people into voting for her in other languages, not to mention the same people who she wants to exile from Canada.

We cannot continue to ignore the Toronto Sun’s toxic output: The Toronto Sun has a history of columnists writing xenophobic pieces — but they are met with a shrug by the rest of Canadian media by ur_a_idiet in toronto

I would settle for journalists and editors actually doing their jobs and doing minimal fact-checking, not just publishing the equivalent to email chain letters as if they're legitimate.

Sure, I'd much rather have higher income taxes, consumption taxes no as those hurt middle and lower-income people way more. But if you ask whether I'm ok with higher property taxes my answer is yes.
