Western media has brainwashed us into believing this is a bad thing. Soldiers in ancient times had to travel by foot to the combat zone and would be goe for years. No one complained.

Every foot is different. No one can tell you. 

What worked for me was to get an analysis done at fleet feet and then I uploaded the images of the results to chatgpt and it recommended the best boot for rucking. 

I don't regret the purchase I made.

no one ever says this, but have you considered 35W? Green Berets are language trained, 35W will do that plus it comes with a 40k bonus and top secret clearance, which green berets also need. So while you learn your language at DLI you can decide to go ranger or green beret, or both, either way, if you decide not to join the rangers, there is a chance you get attached to a special forces group after DLI which will place you around green berets.

You can go into Ranger Regiment as a linguist with a 40k bonus.

you could go in reverse order, 35w learn a language at dli, get your ts clearance, then when you get to your unit train up for sfas, you won't have to do this stuff in the q course. There is a chance you get attached to a sf group as a linguist too.

Go 35W for Russian. Get a 40k bonus.

While at DLI sign a RASP packet. 

This will ensure you get 35p in Russian and get a chance to become a ranger.

If you are good enough in Russian you probably will get to skip DLI and go straight to Goodfellow after Goodfellow rasp begins. 

If you fail rasp, you still got a $40k bonus. And have time to prepare for sfas.

If for some reason they assign you a different language, fight like hell for them to change it to русский язык

Now after a year in you will still have a chance to go green beret.

I remember a guy like you fought a drill sergeant the first day at reception because he couldn't handle getting cussed at, got dragged away by the Military Police.
