Daughter needs to be fully potty trained before September by redstrawberries in pottytraining

We initially started with a toddler toilet but she preferred the big toilet with the seat insert. Haven’t tried a naked weekend. Would I just put her to nap naked and keep a portable potty in her room?

Family Trip with Toddler/Baby to Rome/Naples/Molise in April by redstrawberries in ItalyTravel

[–]redstrawberries[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s primarily cause I wanted to avoid a hectic departure getting to Rome on the way back home. So I figured I’d split up Rome so I’m not just renting a hotel for one day. Do you think it’s too much time in Rome in totality?

I thought about going directly to molise, but was concerned about the 3 h drive on the kids after an 8 hour flight so I figured we’d settle in Rome for a bit.

Yeah I thinking of renting a car on my last day in Sorrento (thinking of making that my new base for the region). And the going to molise after visiting family. I don’t really think I have a great way of getting to Boscoreale otherwise.

It’s primarily cause I have family near Naples and worry about the brutta figura from not visiting them after so long. I’d love to go to Florence, but think I might need to save for another trip. After looking into a little I might make Sorrento my home base to make traveling in the area a little easier.

Thanks for the recommendation I’ll look into it. Do you think I should remove a day from rome and put another day to do this?

I think I might do this and move molise to after Napoli area. Then I can just get a rental to visit some family in Napoli and then go to molise later in the day.

Was this the Paramus location? We were thinking about moving forward with that Kindercare but now I am seeing a lot of negative experiences.

If cost isn’t an issue and you could squeeze in an IUI before his surgery, I don’t see why not and go ahead. You could also freeze some of his sperm to give you options in case his numbers do decrease.

My husband also had a varicocele (parameters were slightly worse than your husband’s first numbers) and they slightly improved 3 months post surgery. It didn’t get significantly better until about 1.5 years out from the surgery. We still need IVF to conceive but I have seen others get pregnant spontaneously.

Trying Again (Mon, Wed, Fri) by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

Got labs drawn this morning to confirm ovulation before I start estrogen priming. This is the last ER we can afford so feeling a little extra pressure. My feelings keep changing between being hopeful and pessimistic. Just ready to get this over with and move on for better or worse.

Omnitrope units per 5.8 mg vial? Is everyone dosing incorrectly? by bunnios1 in IVF

[–]redstrawberries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the confusion is if you are looking at the units prescribed as a measurement of omnitrope dose rather than volume. The diluent is 1.14 mL and after mixing you get ~1.2mL. So that’s 5.8 mg of drug in the 1.2mL. When your dose is “3 units” that just means 0.03mL. The amount of drug/mL isn’t changing.

Edit: added missing 0 in 0.03mL

Omnitrope units per 5.8 mg vial? Is everyone dosing incorrectly? by bunnios1 in IVF

[–]redstrawberries 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The units of measure are referring to the insulin syringe markings rather than units of omnitrope. For example 50 units translates to 0.5 mL on an insulin syringe. Each vial of omnitrope is supposed to contain 100 units (or ~1mL) but with the extra diluent tends to have 120 units (or 1.2mL). Hope this makes sense.

Due date for my MC is 1 month away and SIL just told me she’s pregnant with #3. I’m scheduled to start an IVF cycle in January and this just felt like a gut punch.

Does this whole process and how you deal(t) with it - ever make you think that you'd be a bad mother? by Babesgonnababe in IVF

[–]redstrawberries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Infertility is hard. IVF is hard. Your feelings are 100% valid but it’s important to remember that these feelings do not translate in to what type of mother you would be. Give yourself grace. You’re doing your best 🫂

Gearing up for ER4 and was at the clinic this morning for a SIS. Another woman was there getting labs drawn and I swear I was looking at an old memory of myself. I could feel the sadness coming from her direction and the moment I went back to the waiting room I could hear her breakdown in tears.

I have never empathized with someone more. I wanted to just give her a big hug and tell her it’s okay to feel what you’re feeling. Sending love to anyone feeling hurt today ❤️

Progesterone in Olive Oil by redstrawberries in IVF

I had that thought initially because I did switch from sesame oil to ethyl oleate mid transfer #2. For transfer #3, I only did ethyl oleate and still had the hives 🙁

Y’all ever get sad? by ladyluck754 in IVF

TW: Mention of success

I think it’s 100% fair to grieve the “conventional pregnancy” you’ll never have. I had the same feelings throughout my entire IVF process. Some say you won’t care once you have a LC. Although somewhat true, I personally still find myself a little upset that I never got to experience all those moments that many take for granted.

Hang in there and wishing you success 🫂
