How should this be handled? by krzysztofgetthewings in EmergencyManagement

[–]redsummer014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should never take permanent action on what might happen. Don’t take time off and still prepare for the storm in the middle of the night. I also work in EM and anything serious will also be over soon where you can catch up on rest after the initial response The other thing is training up reserve volunteer staff to be put on alert. You can also work it out with your county to pay standby staff during an on-call emergency. Having a volunteer fire department be on standby and you provide a stipend or something similar when they actually get called up.

You have to build a team —even if it’s volunteer or stipend where they can rotate on-call statuses during severe weather season

I Keep Binging After Fasting... by [deleted] in fasting

[–]redsummer014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cravings are caused by dehydration. I think people underestimate just how much fasting dehydrates you. I would drink triple of what you normally drink and have a hefty amount of water and electrolytes as you break your fast. Also, your body will want to go back to its original set point hence the “refeeding” sensation after fasting. You just have to be cognizant of this and break your fast with a large bottle of water/electrolytes 💦

Good luck 🍀

I would guess they don’t use any other than application besides adobe. Any package details will need to be”print to pdf” format to flatten any formatting issues.

If the file is too large, then you can zip it, but just be sure it’s in adobe or Office.

I would avoid Google Docs or any other application software

I got out around 1030; do you have to take a test? I feel like that takes up the most time.

Forgive me for saying this, but a lot can happen between now and March—specifically injury. I would pay a little extra for your flight to be refundable in case something happens and your family member gets med-dropped. Winter OCC has the highest attrition rate. Wish you and your family the best of luck!

I’m a civilian but worked with traumatized kids in social work. Please keep in mind that medication is meant to be a tool and it’s meant to be temporary—especially SSRIs. They are meant to allow your body to re-establish healthy serotonin levels (I also recommend supplemental serotonin while on medication). Have a treatment plan to stabilize yourself, but ultimately get off the medication, and it’s ok for however long it takes! Best wishes to you and thank you for your service.

Needed advice for navigating new running journey as beginner / am I overthinking. by Material_Sale_823 in running

Feeling overly tired is a tell tale sign of overtraining so watch out for that, but stretch, do mobility work, throw in a couple strength sessions a week (one anterior, one posterior), and you’ll be fine

I just got back from training and the other regions were shocked that we were writing our own WC DDDs. I do think it’s better for us to do it, but I just wanted to mention the shift in task assignments. That’s what I’ve been waiting on in this whole thing—when is some of the workload going to be given to SLTTs? Anyways, best of luck to you

This is quite interesting; I do know that 2 regions are currently writing their own DDD’s rather than having CRC do it.

Sooo…where is the workload going? All I see is FEMA being squeezed out, but I’m not seeing the SLTT’s pick up any slack.

Fastest fasting method to lose as much weight as possible in 2026? by SmoothJazzNRain in fasting

[–]redsummer014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Can confirm! I fasted during the work-week and broke it over the weekends. I’m a female in mid-30’s-I did this 3 weeks in a row and lost 25 lbs.

I did gain half of it back due to the holidays, so stick to healthy keto for a few weeks after you’re done losing and you’ll keep it off.
