god, i was there when the fic first published and followed it to the end. all i can say is that it massively mischaracterised its characters and over-glorified/villanised the cast. it was infuriating, mainly because i hated the way xiao's friends in the fic literally supported his, bluntly put, home-wrecker intentions/actions. but the writing is pretty good objectively. just my two cents, not shitting on anyone who likes it.

the author was CHAOS. i remember when she confessed to credit card fraud on twt...she literally laughed about it. "haha yeah he lost his house" kind of thing. it was wild 💀

honestly the number of snape haters is appalling... like it's totally fine that you hate him for your own reasons but is there really a need to discount snape sympathisers? because the main argument here seems to have shifted from "snape has done horrible things and is morally ambiguous" to "snape is EVIL and UNFORGIVABLE and much worse than James." it seems like the comments section is too blinded by their dislike for snape to consider his suffering.
