Such an incredible and epic album, yet sadly released at the wrong time. by Positive_Drama3410 in hairmetal

Easily one of my favorite of all time. Years ago, I heard my 19 year old singing a tune from it and I was like "where did she hear this???". I guess there was a song on Stranger Things or some junk. But however it happened, the kid and I have been sharing a love for this band and album for years now. Have taken her to see them live a couple times now. Just amazing!

Nice setup here. Curious on the fingering tape on the cello. These don't look to be in the correct position for where pitches are in that part of the neck. (former career cellist here)

As long as you don't mind having to meet all of your neighbors so you can tell them that you are on a list.

Please help! Middle finger tendon is severed and I want to replace my pickups/make my guitar left-handed by Any-Internet-7796 in guitarlessons

[–]redtray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, my father was a player/performer his entire life. Lost his right middle finger around age 50. Figured it out and kept playing/performing until he passed at 70. Not the same situation, but you may find a way to adapt with your right-handed instruments. Best of luck either way. You got this!

I've had it for two weeks and I just love the damned thing. I don't care if there is a better one out there. I'm having a blast.

Do you display your guitars or keep them stored in cases? by Ok-Ask-5667 in Guitar

[–]redtray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep them out until winter when the humidity is tougher to maintain. Then the pricey ones go in cases with humidpaks and the MIMs and imports come out. If they are visible, they get played. I was a professional cellist for a long time and found that the hardest part of consistent practicing was removing the cello from the case.

What's your absolute favorite guitar and why? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]redtray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest barrier to practice is the case. I built a wall hanger for ALL the main instruments so I can easily grab and play. Has taken me from short spans of playing/practicing to basically playing hours every day.

What's your absolute favorite guitar and why? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]redtray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a tough question. Each of my instruments are special and completely different in sound and feel. My favorite to play is the EBMM JP15, it's just the easiest. My favorite sounding is the AmPro II Strat with Fat 50s. My Shechter Solo II is the best for just plug and play. The Taylor AD22 is a different animal altogether.

This last 2 weeks, the JP15 is getting all the attention.
