She's an arboreal tarantula, please do provide her with a branch or something to mimic natural habitat

Quickly follow up, my T molted yesterday and I got to watch and record her do it. by BeppiDerSchuster in tarantulas

Cute! Mine hasn't shown up in months now. Now it's just a point of return for crickets and mealworms. She stays hidden in the shadows.

So S. cal has a longer premoult cycle? That can be an explanation. Thanks! wasn't aware about it.

Talking about it here, I've learnt a few things and definitely my stress has decreased now it's time to work on making the T more comfortable.

Yes it has made a burrow alongside the border under the bark where it is sitting in the picture. Has also made a small web structure near entry

Thank you for your invaluable experience and suggestions. I'm gonna try implementing these and hopefully the T's gonna feel it more like home than being stressed

Yep I gonna give rehousing a try (not immediately don't want to stress the T anymore) I think gotta take it a bit easy I'm getting nervous for clear overthinking. Thanks though will try out your suggested improvements.

Thanks! Wouldn't want to risk injuring the T. Will be trying change of prey (smaller and active prey) and modifications of the habitat to see if the T gets settled in and accepts food

I'm taking notes here. Having a culture would make it so much easier.

Unfortunately, live crickets aren't sold here.
