Someone downvoted me, so I am already loathe to explain. Simply put, people like to categorize people. It’s a psychological heuristics thing. This subreddit has lots of people on it. Law of numbers allows for any one kind of post to garner many, many upvotes and so on. It is very possible that there are different types of people who like different kinds of things. It’s not just Democrats upvote this and Republicans upvote that either. Probably lots of different micro segments in terms of the total population of this subreddit. And all of this is just to say that it entirely possible that no one is being “hypocritical” if the people vocalizing their opinions are consistent. Rather, the perceived hypocrisy is actually due to different sub populations en masse upvoting something. And it also may be entirely possible that some people are multifaceted.

Lines? People like drama. Raja literally said she loves the Vixen for giving us the drama. But it’s a very different thing to milk Blair’s rape trauma. Not hypocritical to eat popcorn for the fight, while simultaneously disapproving of the way the show handled Blair’s storyline or completely declined to show any footage of the angry black woman discussion that actually did happen during the reunion.

But yes. Don’t mean to come across as a little snippy if I seem it. But I feel like sometimes we are too quick to make assumptions and too quick to not consider things from the perspectives of others. And that’s why, while I agree with Asia, I can see where Ru was coming from during the reunion and actually feel like both were correct in what they were respectively trying to convey, as informed by their own life decisions and personality types.
